Hi,

Can you please recommend a pump for someone with VERY sensitive breasts who is an A cup?  I am currently pregnant & registering.  Thanks so much!

Mixing Freshly Pumped BM with cold milk

Sometimes, I will add milk I have just pumped to a bottle of milk that was already in the fridge to get it up to the 3 oz DS drinks. Is this safe/ok for him? Thanks so much!!

re: Expert Carole Arsenault

I would also like to know which pump(s) you would prefer. i am interested in the Avent Isis, but it is quite expensive for us. I am trying to weigh the cost with the use I will get out of it, but also would like suggestions on good quality products, etc.

re: Expert Carole Arsenault

How can I get leaking under control.  While LO is nursing one side, the other side is filling up more than one breast pad and getting all over my bra and sometimes pants.  !

Should I try to juggle pumping the one side while nursing on the other?  :/

re: Expert Carole Arsenault

I am still in my third trimester but lately my breasts feel like they are on fire! Some times it's so bad that I'm almost in tears. Any advice on what I can do? Is this normal? I don't hear anyone else really talking about it. Thanks!

Supply decreasing?

I'm at work and the first week pumping I'd get 6 oz or more from pumping both sides in the morning and then I'd get about 4 oz in the afternoon. Now (2nd week) I only got 4 oz in the morning and 2 oz in the afternoon. Why is my supply decreasing, and what can I do to make it go up?

re: Expert Carole Arsenault

I am currently EBF my 4 month old.... I EBF my first son until he was 10 months and my supply dried up, he was on milk and everything worked out.  NOW with a 2 1/2 year old, BF is harder than the first time and I'm not sure I'm all that "in to" doing it... Sometimes I think bottle feeding would be easier, but then I go back and forth.. Any suggestions?  thanks!

Pumping question

I am currently pumping one or two times a day, just to give my nipples a break (I have a very eager eater), and to give myself a small stash of breastmilk for emergencys.  My concern is that when I pump my left side I am only getting 2-3ozs and it takes a long time to get that, where as when I pump the right side I am usually getting at least 5 ozs.  How can I increase the amount of milk from my Left side?  Thanks!

Lipase/ Freezing Milk

Hi Carol,

Hope you are well.

Quick question for you! Can lipase levels in milk change?

I recently found that a few bags of milk I froze smelled and tasted spoiled. I threw them out, but I have never had this problem before. I have heard that lipase levels can cause this.

Any thoughts?

Thanks a million!

Pumping Exclusively

I am interested in using breastmilk, but I would prefer to only pump. Can you recommend a pump that is able to handle that kind of daily use?
