This should seriously say "key lime" instead of just "lime".  A real lime is roughly the same size as a lemon, which is several weeks down the line.  A Key lime is roughly the 1.6in as stated above.

WOW... what an amazing journey our bodies have been on!! It is crazy how fast they grow it was just 3 weeks ago that we were at our first doc apt and she called our baby a, "Little Gummy Bear". She said this because it looked like the outline of a gummy bear on the sonogram. It has just stuck with us so now we call him/her our little gummy bear. Such an exciting time and I wish everyone well on this blessed journey!

I love having the little lime inside! It has been great and we got to hear the heart beat last week! It was amazing! I cant wait to hear it again! A friend has a Doppler that she is letting us borrow for the duration and we can hear the heartbeat anytime we want! Thanks to her!

Limes are so much cuter, and better with taquilla, than prunes... We had our first ultrasound last week and got to hear the little heart beat. It's all just so amazing. I can't wait for my next appointment to hear the beartbeat again! Only 9 more weeks til we find out what our little lime is... :)

We got to see the actual baby (not just a white pulsating blob) and hear the heartbeat yesterday!  That appointment had me in tears, especially after suffering a miscarriage earlier this year.  The baby even did a few somersaults for us!  Amazing.  I LOVE 11 weeks.

I'm going to hear the heartbeat for the first time tomm. and i couldn't be more excited!!!  I hope to see the little key lime on an u/s, i guess i'll just have to wait and see.  Some individuals get an u/s in the earlier months, and some don't why is that?

Anyone else starting to feel somewhat less nauseated/less dizzy?  More hungry?  I get worried if I think I'm the only one, like something is wrong.  (I know we all worry about that!)  I can't wait to be done with first trimester.  Hopefully will hear heartbeat on Doppler next week, heard it at 8 weeks u/s, but doubt I'll be getting another one for awhile...

Same here, Crystalmtnz, feeling less nauseated and starting to enjoy food a bit more.  I had an ultrasound at 8 weeks where I got the chance to see the heartbeat but not hear it.  My hubby and I are going to get to hear it together next week... can't wait.  I love my little lime/ Itsy Bitsy!!

I too feel less nauseated and had eyes for food last night (but couldn't eat it all...still feeling full very quickly!)  It does make me worry a little because at least I knew the baby was growing strong when I was really nauseated!  But, DH and I get to see the baby next week and that is reassuring!  We love our little lime!

Only 13 more days til we get to hear the first heartbeat!! So excited! One of my friends gave me an early baby gift--one of the little contraptions that lets you hear the heartbeat at home. Just tried it out & I can hear lots of tummy noises but no heartbeat yet. Instructions say this thing only works well in the 3rd trimester (doesn't work as well as the Doppler the docs use)....oh well, it's fun thinking one day I'll put it on my belly & the little thump thump will be there!

Oh by the way, my nausea is finally gone. One question though: anyone else wake up one day with the never-ending, bottomless pit in their stomach?! I went from only being able to eat about 1/3 of what I normally eat to being able to down a whole Big Mac (not the ideal pregnancy diet, I know, but hey I've been deprived of food for too long!!) and not even feel it. Seems like I always feel hungry no matter what I eat or how often. Anyone have any tips on how to make the hunger go away?

I finally heard my babyy's heart through and ultrasound and my baby has grown so much...i just can't believe it's the size of a lime already...i love limes...has anyone tried cucumbers with lime and salt...it's so delicious....yum

yay!! every week i just get more and more excited!! i have the book Pregnancy Week by Week and I love it. It shows sizes and stuff and every week i reread teh chapter for that week!

Well... today I went for my second appt. and got another ultrasound and got to see my little lime. I saw the face, hands, and feet. It was waving once the ultrasound picked it up. I cried and cried. It was totally amazing! This visit actually shocked me. Deltri29 said she went from a prune to a lime in a week, well I went from a olive to a lime. LOL! I was orignally told four weeks ago that I was 6 weeks then. So I was thinking that I would be 10 weeks now, well the doctor told me I  was actually 11 weeks and my du ate got changed from Jan. 20 to Jan. 13!!!! So I am not totally crazy like my husband thinks that I am getting a bit bigger and my clothes are not fitting right.

I got to hear our little lime's heartbeat today!!! It was amazing! I go for my official Dr. appt. July 2nd and will do the U/S!  adwelsh05, I went to the Dr. thinking I was 9 weeks, and he bumped me up to 10 weeks- so I know how you feel! I went from Jan. 21st to Jan. 15th. :)

So I'm still a lime! Went to the OB and had my first ultrasound on the 13th, she pushed my due date back to March 5th....it was Feb. 28th....so I will have a lime until Friday....It was amazing to see the little one on the ultrasound...got to see it move its arms and legs a little...VERY EXCITING!!!

I had my first U/S at 7 weeks and couldn't really see much.  My first appt with my new midwife isn't until Aug. 31st.  I hope she orders another U/S so I can see more of what's going on in there!  My lime will have moved up through the produce section by then...

My lime will be a plum before I get to see it again. I can't wait until Sept 10th! That's my next ultrasound appointment. The weeks seem to be going by a little faster now.. just a little faster, but March seems years away!

i dont know about your limes- but ive never seen a lime so small, mine are all the size of lemons so im kinda questioning the accuracy here.

we just heard the baby's heartbeat yesterday at our first appointment! it definitely made it real for both of us. before hearing the heartbeat, half of me was convinced there really wasn't a baby in there.... :)

I just got introduced to this side, and read several of the comments on this page last night, since we are now at 11 Weeks.  Then, today, at our second appointment, we did get to hear our little baby's heartbeat.  It was so amazing!  We had seen the heart beat in the first ultra sound at 7 weeks, but actually hearing it was just a special.  And to know that everything is going well.  We are so happy!
