It seems like a peach is so much bigger than a plum, and smaller than a lemon...  is this because I'm in the midwest? ;-)  It's fun to come and see what food size my baby is!

I agree (and am also from the Midwest) but peaches are bigger than lemons. I think it should be plum, then lime, then lemon and then a peach.

If you peak ahead a few weeks, it's a banana!  That makes NO sense...I think these fruit comparisons are a little off.  By weight, length, density, whatever--it doesn't add up!  Peach is definitely my favorite though :)

I think they are just comparing baby's length and weight to what these fruits are on avg. that's all. For the banana week it says that the fetus is 10.5 inches and weighs about 12 oz. That seems to be pretty comparable to a banana...dang it, now I want a nice juicy peach to snack on! ;-)

It's  a peach!  I just had my NT ultrasound today, and it was so cool to see the baby moving around in there.  It was like a live feed!  It's crazy that he's moving so much, and I can't even feel it.  Yes, it seems like every week he gets bigger and so does my belly!  It just pops out out of nowhere!  I'm gonna have to buy some more maternity pants and tops. So exciting!!

Hey christinalyn~The only reason that I have already had an ultrasound is because they couldn't find the heart beat the other way. Otherwise I  wouldn't have had one until 20 weeks.

I have been showing with this little one for a while, but it's my second.  I cant believe how big the baby is getting!  I finally got to hear the heartbeat, though.  It took them some time to find it, the baby was up higher than they thought.  

christinalyn- I havent had a ultrasound yet...I wont get one til I'm 18 weeks along, and that's just my routine, check the size one.  I'm looking forward to it, though!

I pop out after meals.  I love rubbing my full belly!  My jeans have been uncomfortable since about week 8.  I only had an u/s b/c I asked for one at my first appointment, around 10 wks.  My husband is a twin and I felt way further along.  This is my second time around though!  There's only one peach in my basket.

I've only had one ultrasound from my doctor and it was a 8 weeks, when our baby was the size of a pinto bean. Went in today and was hoping that i would be able to see the peach, but only got to hear the heartbeat. Cant wait to see how big our baby has gotten!!

I had an ultrasound at 6 weeks where we got to see our tiny dot on the screen (my husband thought it was the black part around it - all the fluid) and then again at 10 weeks were we got to see our little "donut hole" (I refuse to compare my baby to an ugly shriveled prune) moving around and kicking his little feet! So exciting! My next Dr's appointment is next week - hoping to see how much our baby has grown . . .  

For all you mom's who haven't had an ultrasound, would it hurt to ask for one?? The worst they can do is say no, right? Might be worth the quick question.

i had an ultrasound at 8 weeks but could only see the baby's heart beating...dh and i listened to the baby's heart beat at 10 weeks and the doctor commented that the baby must be shopping (it was around christmas time!) :) can't wait to feel the baby move and also to find out what we're having!!

I'm not showing yet, but the tummy if feeling a bit tighter. Mostly I'm just tired, then hungry, then tired again. But we had our first ultrasound this past week - saw the heartbeat, our peach's jaw moving and then the swimming began - it was incredible!  Can't wait for the peach to start kicking!

so I had a sonogram on thursday (13th week) and it seems like the baby measured 12cm (or 4.7 inches). could i be reading the sonogram wrong? the doctor said the baby grew a lot from the last time i was there and didn't seem concerned, but is that normal?

Yumm a peach sounds sooooo good right now! I go for my first ultra sound tomorrow. I'm not really showing just yet. The only time its noticeable is after i eat something, then i tend to stick out a little more. Im excited for my first U/S. I'm wondering what peaches and lemons you all are looking at.  I held a lime in my hand yesterday and it was smaller than a peach and a lemon.  and the peaches are smaller than the lemons.  I know this because I work in a grocery store and we don't get the monster fruit.  You have to remember, they are using AVERAGES in the sizes, not going by how big the fruit *can* get.

One was to confirm how far along I was and that was at 7 weeks.  The second one was at 10 weeks because they couldnt get the heartbeat because my peach was under a bone.  I am looking forward to the next one when I can see the baby move!  Oh and I am totally showing!

I am almost 14 weeks, and I'm not showing (other than my large boobs!) I feel like all the belly albums I see are showing by this time....  I saw an ultrasound and my little peach was super active - but waiting for my belly to pop out.  Anyone else experiencing a similar situation?

I'm not showing either, and im not gaining weight.  This is my first, so people say you wont show as early... but i'm not complaining about not gaining weight... i know it will come!!

Well in Florida Lemons are huge. We also have key limes in Florida, which are pretty small. Maybe they meant a key lime.

I am not showing at all either and all my clothes still fit. I have pregnant friends that are not as far along as me but are definitely bigger than me. People are generally shocked when I tell them how far along I am.

I'm very excited about my lil peach!! Got the U/S two days ago and it was amazing to finally see my lil one.  It was drinking and sticking its tongue out!! So cute!! It was also stretching... Still can't believe how beautiful this whole process is.  And my belly is growing is getting bigger by the week.  Still no need for maternity clothes but can no longer button the higher wasted pants I have.  Luckily all my low waisted pants still fit.  But I have a feeling not for much longer!! :-)

Iam 13 weeks now, but the doc says the baby is 4 inches long. That's the navel orange. At this rate my baby will be as long as a yard stick by nine months! lol

Well, I'm from good ole' Alabama and most of our peaches are considerably bigger than a lemon but lately we haven't been getting a lot of them...guess it's been too dang cold!  OOO, what about peach pie ladies???!!!
