As legend has it, this chart predicts baby's gender with 90% accuracy. Does it work for you?

This Chinese predictor was not right...it said I would have a girl with DS. This time it says a girl again so we will see if it is right in October.

Nope! Unless the baby was actually concieved earlier then I thought. We concieved right at the begining of the month so I guess that is possible but I really don't think so!

Well, I've seen a couple different versions of it, some that ask for your *lunar* age, which can be different, and some like this. If you go by my real age, it's correct, but if you go by my lunar age, it's wrong.

It was accurate for us (and for when my mother had me) but then again we didn't know the EXACT date of conception like my mother did so I based it off of when the Dr. said we conceived- which is only as accurate as due dates are, and we know those change weekly!

In all honesty; you are supposed to find your lunar age and use that age, not your actual age from your birth date. Hopefully they will create a lunar age finder, so that it can be completely accurate. For instance, I was 27 when the baby was conceived; but my lunar age at conception was 28.

Haven't found out yet, it says girl. I did the math for my son and it's wrong however I've seen this before and it was right for my son. This one might be off by a bit. Try googling one and compare them. Overall it's been right for a lot of friends and family.

All of the other charts tell you to add 1 year if you're over a certain age. All of those charts were right, the one here was not.

Not at all!!! I was 23 at the time of conception, we conceived in November, but we are not having a boy. It worked for all of my friends so we went ahead and planned on having a boy, and bought all boy stuff, now we have to take it all back and start over.

This was accurate for my first child, a beautiful baby girl, but only time will tell if it is correct that I am having a bouncing baby boy this time around! lol I agree with others, though, who say this chart is different than others on the web. Others do ask for your "lunar" age or "chinese" age, which are different from your actual age. But even using those ages this happened to be correct the first time for me. Of course it had a 50/50 chance... I would take these results with a grain of salt!

It was wrong for me and all of my friends! You cant predict that! However I did read somewhere you can improve your chances of having a girl by having sex a day or so before you ovulate because the male sperm swim faster so they will die off by the time the female sperm arrive to the egg. If you want a boy have sex the day of conception. Of course their is no exact method of choosing the sex of a baby but this may help!

Does anyone know if the Chinese Gender chart goes by the time you actually get pregnant or does it go by the last period? I am wanting to try for a boy so I will start TTC in July. I will have an ovulation cycle at the beginning of July and the end. If I get pregnant at the beginning of July is that really considered June since my last period was in June?

BellyShelly - I will tell you this much ... the chart says I should be having a boy but I'm actually having a girl. When I was TTC, I charted my basal body temperature and checked my cervical mucus religiously. I mistakenly stopped having sex THREE days before I ovulated! But, I still got pregnant and I believe that is how we ended up with a girl. My point is, check into the Shettles Method. If you want a boy, time intercourse as closely as possible to ovulation. Also, I highly recommend the book "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" by Toni Weschler.

This chinese chart is different than all the other ones I've found on line. The one at www.laboroflove.com was right for 8 out of 9 of the babies in my family. It says that I'm pg with a boy now but your chart says girl.

Nope! From what I can tell with friends it over predicts girls. It said girl for me and my 20 week u/s shows (pretty unmistakably) a boy. Same for my SIL with both her boys! Oh well!

Haven't found out the sex yet, but I tried chinese gender predictors on several other sites and they all came up the same: boy. However, theBump's predictor comes up a girl. Is theBump using the right calendar for their predictor? It seems off.

Nope. It said I was having a girl, but I am having a boy. I knew in my heart the whole time I was having a boy despite trying this calender with about 15 people and it was right most of the time.

it was right both times for us.....and i was 30 only 2 months that year predicted girls so we tried both those months and got lucky in may (we had a boy wanted a girl)

YUP! It was tricky at first because we were not sure of the exact month but once we were more sure of the month it said a boy...Our little boy is due May 1!

NOPE!!! My oldest was a girl, said I was having a boy, with my son it said I should have had a girl and my two youngest were girls and boys were predicted!!! Four times it was wrong!!! It did work for my friend though.... She also used the Shettles Method so who knows? :-D

WRONG...I did the Chinese gender predictor at the beginning of my pregnancy and totally convinced myself (and those around me) that i was having a girl. But at our 20 week ultrasound, we saw all of Max's manhood with the first swip of the wand. I could not be happier, though, to have my little boy!!
