He Said What?!

Posted Thursday, June 28, 2007 10:48 PM

My guy's officially headed towards the two-year mark. He turned 20 months today -- and I cannot believe how fast he's growing up! He's finally starting to listen, and with listening comes real words. (Ok, so he calls milk "milky" -- but still, the words

Baby and Dehydration

Posted Friday, June 29, 2007 10:48 AM

Last summer we had to rush our three month old to the ER. He was being lethargic and fussy at the same time. I gently felt the top of his head to comfort him and realized his fontanel (the little soft spot) was sunk in. I remembered reading that it was

The Search for the Perfect Double Stroller

Posted Wednesday, June 27, 2007 9:22 AM

As a second (and third) time mother, I thought I’d be able to avoid the stroller angst that I went through with my first son. No such luck! My now three-month old twin baby boys require the one type of baby transportation I'd yet to purchase: the double

How are you keeping your kid occupied this summer?

Posted Tuesday, June 26, 2007 1:01 PM

With summer in full swing, parents now need to become full-time activity directors (in addition to all of our other full-time roles!) and seek out unique places to go to keep the kids stimulated and entertained. Even though Cooper is only 5 1/2 months

Posted Monday, June 25, 2007 5:13 PM

Mornings in our home are a bit chaotic lately. I’ve been back at work for three weeks and everything seemed to be going well until the last few days. I'm still nursing, and I pump every morning and afternoon so that my DH (who stays home with the baby

Please, Not Another Diaper Change

Posted Thursday, June 21, 2007 1:47 PM

A funny thing happened two months ago...my baby decided he was over the changing table. What has ensued is a comedy of changing errors. We went from CT to crib to floor to standing to -- no diaper at all. Really? My son does not want to wear diapers anymore.

Too Young to Potty Train?

Posted Thursday, June 21, 2007 11:21 AM

TMI Alert -- But I Need Your Help! I guess my little guy has figured out that he has "equipment" down there. Boys will be boys, I suppose. Every time I take off his diaper, he wants to pee and laughs with glee when he can -- especially in the bathtub.

Cry It Out - Yes or No?

Posted Tuesday, June 19, 2007 10:28 AM

I didn't want to do CIO. I thought I was against it. It seemed so cruel and against all instincts to leave your baby there crying! But when Cooper got addicted to his swaddle - he couldn't sleep unless he was wrapped, and yes, we were still swaddling

The Missing Aunt

Posted Monday, June 18, 2007 12:31 PM

By Nest Erin My first nephew just arrived! Right now! (Well, like a half-hour ago!) I am sooooo excited -- but then there’s this other thing…GUILT. See, baby’s in Tennessee. And I’m in New York. I feel like a horrible sister/daughter/aunt for not being

Posted Tuesday, June 12, 2007 1:33 PM

When I complained about being on the go with powdered formula and constantly making a huge mess everywhere (ever try pouring the powder in the bottle on a windy day?), my co-worker and fellow mom, Nest Rosie , showed me these great formula cups by The

Awesome Father's Day Gift

I totally blew it last year for father's day. I bought DH a tie -- albeit a nice one. This year I wasn't going to make the same mistake. Inspired by The Nest Baby Daddy's Day Gift Guide , I ordered a print from dna11 . What is it? Consider it the new
