This topic is getting a lot of media attention lately, and this week alone I have had at least three fellow moms ask my opinion on the subject: do you think the MMR (measels, mumps, rubella) vaccine causes autism? The government and much of the medical

This might be one of those TMI blog entries, but has anyone else had massive hair loss after giving birth? Apparently this is another one of those strange postpartum side effects that no one ever told me about. I feel a little like Hansel & Gretel,

By Nest Rosie Anybody planning on a big babymoon before (or after) the little one arrives? DH and I were all about the idea and actually did a double-moon (a Baby Me package at the W Hotel here in NYC, and a last-minute getaway to Arizona) when I was

I ran into an old acquaintance the other day who, upon hearing the news of the twins, stared at me in horror and exclaimed, "I feel so sorry for you!" At the time I just smiled and muttered something about how everything was really great, blah blah blah.

This week Cooper had his first meal with flavor -- sweet potatoes -- and he loved it! We're going to be introducing some stage 1 fruits and veggies over the next two weeks -- the experts say you should allow time between each new flavor to make sure there

Does anyone else out there dress their child in adorable, yet goofy clothing just for the photo opps? Much to my DH’s chagrin, I do it constantly – after all, it won’t be much longer before he realizes how silly he looks and dress-up time will be over.

Back when I was pregnant, I met one mother of twins who, after giving me the look that I've now come to understand means "get ready for the most amazing and difficult thing you will ever experience," warned me that I would have to be very organized to

Wyatt's turning 2 soon. I cannot believe it! I've got to start planning the next shindig. Last year, we had 50 adults/25 kids, rented a private space, hired a well-known kids' band frontman to play a set, catered it, shipped in cupcakes from NYC's so-good-I-could-not-resist

Cooper has way too many toys. But admittedly, we can't stop buying more! He's our first child, so I think it's even more fun for DH and I to play with all the stuff. Our latest purchase is Ann B. Dextrous by Discovery . What's so cool about Ann is she

By Nest Rosie Nest Paula is screwing things up for me. She just found a scary article about the dangers of polycarbonate baby bottles... including Dr. Brown's bottles, which I use for Roman. I am so surprised to see that both Medela and Sassy bottles

Since the day he was born, one of my twins, Owen, has been a major spitter-upper. During feedings, after feedings, and even sometimes in-between, it just pours out of him. Now, excessive vomit isn't something we take lightly, nor are we strangers to it.

We're in the middle of a baby boom in my office -- there are now five women who are expecting; six if you count one of our temps! It's so much fun to watch their bellies grow, and it makes me more than a little nostalgic about my own pregnancy. Don't

Even though it's somewhat controversial , I fully admit that when I need a 15-minute break, I'll put Cooper in his Exersaucer and put on a video. I only play baby-friendly shows for him, of course, and he seems to really enjoy the sounds, color and movement.

I've been saving pretty much everything that our baby has outgrown, but we're getting crunched for space. I think we're having another baby, so I'm figuring we'll need the stuff but will I really reuse it all? Won't it be so unfair to baby number 2 if

I was so excited when I first found out that I was having a boy. But I have to admit: I was concerned that clothes for boys were just not that cool (I mean, I love Winnie the Pooh, but cartoon characters are not my style). Luckily, it didn't take long

I have the hardest time picking out baby gifts so I generally play it safe and send new babies a monogrammed blanket or hooded towel, both of which are certainly very cute as well as useful gifts. But now that a lot of my friends are having their second

OK, let's be honest... how many of you are sick of reading "Goodnight Moon" for the 800th time? We all know how important it is to read to our babies , but If you are like me and your child is still too young to understand, why not get some baby books

I usually love the celebration that goes along with the 4th of July, but this year I'm literally counting the days until the holiday is officially over. The nightly explosions of bottle rockets and Black Cat fire crackers in our neighborhood are really
