The Trials of Teething

We have one very cranky baby at our house, and two very frustrated parents who are feeling quite helpless at the moment. I’m almost certain my little guy is teething, but so far his pearly whites have yet to make an appearance. I’m one of those moms that doesn’t like to give Motrin or Tylenol unless it’s necessary, but I’m wondering if I should just give him a dose to see if it makes him more comfortable. It’s so unlike him to cry for no apparent reason, but he’s had a rough couple of days where he just can’t seem to settle down. He just turned six months (yesterday!), and he’s been drooling and chewing on everything within reach for the last six weeks, so it make sense that he's teething. On our pediatrician’s recommendation, I put a damp baby washcloth in the freezer so he can chew on it for a little instant pain-relief, and one of my coworkers offered these teething tablets that she used for her boys.
