re: Gifted at Birth Care Package Giveaway!

I'd love to get this for my best friend, Adrienne, who is expecting in July.   She's the most giving person that I've ever met.  She always running here and there with homemade dinners for someone who is ill.  She helps out at her Church.  She's always there for whoever may need her.  She's really deserving of this.

Thanks for offering this wonderful giveaway.

re: Gifted at Birth Care Package Giveaway!

I am pregnant for the very first time and so excited!  I live in Hilo, Hawaii where baby stores are limited to ONE small specialty store, Wal-Mart, and local grocery/drug stores.  Being gifted would be such a treat, especially to a place where many online stores won't ship to because we are not a part of the continental US. :)

re: Gifted at Birth Care Package Giveaway!

I would love to be gifted in order to pamper myself a little bit after birth.  I am due in August with my second child.  My first pregnancy was easy, but this one has proved to be difficult.  First, I experienced several miscarriages, and now I've been having vein problems.  I don't like to complain about the aches and pains of pregnancy because I know how long it took me to keep a pregnancy and that there are many women who would love to be in my shoes.  It would be wonderful to have a little something special to enjoy after my new baby arrives.  Thanks for the wonderful contest.

re: Gifted at Birth Care Package Giveaway!

I would like to be gifted because i just had my second child and her and her sister are only 14months apart and my 14month old is super busy with running all over the place and trying to over help mommy with the baby and potty training and then caring for a newborn everything is so overwhelming i feel as if i have to be super mom and just forget about myself because my girls are the most important and I seem to not have time for anything but them and I love that i really do but it would be nice to be gifted!

re: Gifted at Birth Care Package Giveaway!

I was trying to figure out why I deserve this AMAZING gift but everything I came up with I had a solution for.  My husband and I are expecting our first baby together at the end of June.  We live with his parents and my family is 10 minutes away, so we are constantly surrounded by family and friends willing to help in any way.  I decided that yes I WANT this gift, but I don't NEED it.  I would rather win it for my friend Jeanine.  She is expecting a little girl almost exactly a month after me.  She has just moved and now her commute to work is over 2 hours each way due to traffic.  She hardly has any time with her fiance and she is now 1-3 hours away from family and friends.  She has to continue her job for now to keep the insurance.  I know she would really benefit from this gift and know it would be such a blessing for her.  So I would love to win this prize for her to at least make the after pregnacy easier for her.

re: Gifted at Birth Care Package Giveaway!

I would love to be gifted because this is my first pregnancy, which I have been told by my doctor is probably my last. I was born 4 months premature and because of that I had a lot of trouble conceiving and may go through early menopause. I am hoping to be very prepared for my new beautiful baby coming in December, and this would help me trimendously! I also was accepted to a doctorate program the same day I found out I was pregnant & I believe that this gift could not only help me, but help my husband who will be the best daddy in the world to our baby. Thanks so much!

re: Gifted at Birth Care Package Giveaway!

Hi - I am writing to request that my wife be gifted.  She has had a hard pregnancy as we are both nearly 40.  We are so excited to have our first child - and we now know that it is a boy.  I love my wife so much and am so glad that our little family is now about to grow.  I know from reading online that many women love this time of their life - unfortunately for my wife Erin, she is still working and is not fully able to take the time to relax and enjoy.  I would love to do something extra special for her and I know thta this would be a great surprise for her to receive a special "gift".  Thank you.  Mark

re: Gifted at Birth Care Package Giveaway!

Well, I have two kids, my big one is 3 1/2.  The baby (who can you believe is already 5 months) has BAD reflux and wakes up 1-2 times a night (or more).  Until he was 3 months he woke up every 1 1/2 hours.   Oh and he won't take a bottle, so there is never a break for me.  So, I'm mighty tired.  A gift that would help would be fantastic!

I would appriecate the gift quite a lot. I am pregnant with my second child, but my husbands first. We homeschool since the education were we had to move for my husbands job is not the best or even ok.  Since my husband works all hours of the day and night I am unable to get a job for the little things that would be wonderful to have for our precious little one that is due in December. We are doing tons to save money and every but helps. Thank you for your time.

re: Gifted at Birth Care Package Giveaway!

Hi there!  I know that there are many families out there who really deserve this gift package, but I believe that my husband and I could really benefit from it.  My husband is in Medical school and I am in my 1st year of my Master's Program...so needless to say we do not have much money or ability to support ourselves.  Both of our families live more than 500 miles away, so we are going to be having to do a lot of this on our own, which is fine but will also be quite challenging.  Either way, I don't want to give a sob story to win this gift package, I just know that  we and our baby (girl/boy)could really benefit from this.  Thanks for considering us! :)

I would love this as I am expecting in Oct., However my friend Kristi who is due at the end of July deserves this more.  Her husband was a pilot in the air force and he died in March of this year, when she was just a few months pregnant in a plane crash.  They are having a baby boy which made his Dave the happiest he has ever been.  She is a great person and is going through so much and will be a wonderful mother, but this would be great for her.

re: Gifted at Birth Care Package Giveaway!

This package would be such a blessing for our family. I am a new mommy and I am 20 years old. I wasn't prepared for growing up so fast. I always thought I would wait to be settled down, married, have a house, and have a good job before bringing life into this world. I wish I could provide more for my daughter, but right now keeping clean clothes and diapers (cloth! icky but CHEAP...and good for our Mother Earth) is my main concern. I do my best and more for my little sunshine, as I am sure all the Nest mommies do, but a little help would be incredibly helpful and I would be forever grateful. Thank you for the opportunity.

I can't say that I'll be more deserving than any other mommy-to-be here.  This would truly be a blessing, if I were chosen for this wonderful package.  My husband and I have six children (collectively) and baby will make seven.  I haven't been pregnant in over ten years.  So, I'm excited a little out of the loop.  I had trouble nursing with my daughters and I want everything to go well this time around.  Our due date is December 26th and this would be a fantastic way to celebrate Christmas with our family. Good luck & God bless all contestants!

My brother and sister-in-law are moving to SF to have their baby and raise him with family close but they only made it as far as New Mexico! She is delivering her baby this afternoon (May 2nd, earlier than expected, in Gallup!) and when they get here to SF, we will do what we can to help but they could really use a break, some supplies and some baby knowledge! They have a new apartment sitting here empty, they didn't even get a chance to move in. They are sweet and charming and will find their way with their new little love, but need baby supplies and gear!

re: Gifted at Birth Care Package Giveaway!

This came at just the right time...I JUST found out I'm pregnant with #3 - SURPRISE!  My 2nd is just 9 months old and still nursing exclusively.  I have enough cloth diapers for her and a few for my not-yet-potty-learned toddler, but with a new baby coming a few more cloth diapers and things to pamper a soon to be mom of 3 who are 3 and under sounds like HEAVEN!  DH is already very worried about affording the two we have, and now #3...The news is thrilling but the financial toll is scaring the hubby!  Thanks!!!

re: Gifted at Birth Care Package Giveaway!

Well, I feel that anyone women who is pregnant deserves this despite their circumstances, but the reason I feel I deserve this is because my pregnancy has been less stress free. After trying for about six months, I found out I was pregnant with my first baby in October. I was 3 weeks pregnant. A week later I had severe bleeding and was told I suffered a miscarriage. We were devastated.  However upon my next visit to my doctor they still felt I was pregnant even though I was still bleeding because my blood work still showed a baby.  At that point they thought the pregnancy was ectopic and would need to be ended. The problem was it was too early to tell on an ultrasound so for the next 5 anxious weeks I had weekly visits for ultrasounds, and I continued to bleed throughout. At about 8.5 weeks by some miracle they found the heartbeat in my uterus right where it belonged. Then the bleeding randomly stopped about about 12 1/2 weeks. It was the most joyous and wonderful feeling and we felt so blessed after having grieved a potential miscarriage only to find this perfect being was growing inside me.   The only bad news was that they also found a large cyst on my ovary that they thought to be benign so they decided to watch it for growth. We honestly didn't think much of it as we were so overjoyed thinking about our baby coming.   Well now I am 7 weeks from delivery and at my last ultra sound I was told the cyst shrunk! Great news! A few days later that changed when we went to the doctor and found that the ultra sound tech was looking at the wrong numbers and the cyst had actually grown. Now the doctor is talking about the potential that it could be cancer and I will have to have surgery about 6 weeks after delivery to remove and diagnose it.  We are praying it is nothing and that it will still remain benign, but it has definately thrown us for a loop.  On top of all this we received a letter in the mail from the bank telling us that our home had significantly decreased in value and they were freezing  access to our equity in our home. We hadn't planned on using a HELOC unless there was a major emergency, but now that I will likely be out of work longer and have unexpected medical expenses this couldn't come at a worse time. Essentially having a this gift would just ease some stress in my life. Please don't get me wrong I am very blessed in many other ways and have a loving husband to comfort me, so all I ask is that this gift goes to someone very deserving.

I would like to be gifted because I live 500 miles away from any immediate family, so I don't have the support I need. And my husband won't be able to help because he is transferring into the Fire Dept from the police dept 2 weeks after I am due. And will be in a grueling academy for 6 months. So I'm pretty much doing all this on my own, and would love any help even if it's small! Please help me! :o)

re: Gifted at Birth Care Package Giveaway!

Lots of great stories above, and I hope every one of us has some wonderfully supportive person in our life who enrolls us (looked at the website and it's a great idea!).  I would love to be gifted in this way because I am not going to get any time off after the birth.  I am due 8/8/08 and classes start 8/18/08 (ok, I get 10 days, if I actually deliver on time - not likely for my first baby).  My work isn't mean, it's just that it was either cancel all of my classes for the semester and have the whole semester off (not great for the students at my very small college, many whom need my courses to graduate - or for us financially) or just do my best juggling a newborn and classes.  Fortunately, I have a very supportive group of colleagues and my husband is going to help out when he can, but I know I am going to have a tough time and everyone says I'm crazy to go back to work right away.   So, to have the essentials taken care of would just be an amazing gift, especially as a new (very anxious) Mom.

I would love to win this package. I lost my mom in 2004 and am expecting my first child (a baby girl) in 2 weeks. I  have missed not having my mother by my side to offer advice and support. Perhaps these products will help. Thank you.

re: Gifted at Birth Care Package Giveaway!

We're expecting in late July.  This is our first child and we've been married 6 years.  We TTC for 3 years before we were blessed with this pregnancy.  We are ecstatic and can't wait to be parents!  We would LOVE to be gifted because we live in the Florida Keys (my husband is military) and shopping is VERY limited in this area!  Thank you for considering us!

re: Gifted at Birth Care Package Giveaway!

I would like to be gifted, not for me, but for a friend of mine. He is gaining full custody of his 1 month old son. He is taking the child away from a mother who lets him as well as her other children be exposed to way too many dangers and illegal activity. I am proud of him for standing up for his child and taking responsibility so quickly. The minute that the paternity test proved that he was his child he acted quickly to save his son. I would like to help out this single father. It is so rare these days that we see a man take full on responsibility. It should be rewarded. Thanks

re: Gifted at Birth Care Package Giveaway!

Every new mother deserves to be gifted, but I hope you will consider gifting me for the following reasons.  :)

DH and I had been together for 14 years when we learned of our pregnancy last fall.  Because of Stage IV endometriosis, an MTHFR mutation, and severe male factor infertility (MFI), we were told IVF was our only way to conceive of child of our own.  After our first (and likely sole) attempt, we were so thrilled to see that positive test, only to have the rug pulled out from under us the very next day.  We learned that DH's MFI was the result of testicular cancer.

As we were embarking on the early, uncertain days of our first and possibly only pregnancy, we suddenly faced an immediate surgery followed by x-rays, CT scans, radiation therapy, and five years worth of follow up, assuming all went well.  During this time, we learned we had conceived twins and were thrilled that our family would be complete, regardless of cancer's impact on our future fertility.  At the end of the first trimester, however, we were devastated at news of the loss of one of our twins.

As the end of my pregnancy nears, we count our blessings every day that barring disaster, we will at least have this precious child, no matter what the future holds.  I am trying to relish every moment of pregnancy, and I know I will feel the same way a million times over once our sweet baby boy arrives.

Thank you for your consideration!

re: Gifted at Birth Care Package Giveaway!

I was always told by my doctor that I couldn't get pregnant.  I could feel my heart break every time I heard someone talk about their baby or birthing experience, knowing I would never get that chance.  This March, I went to the doctor for the flu and found out I was pregnant!  I was already 15 weeks along (with zero symptoms).  We couldn't be happier but financially and timing wise we are not ready and struggling to catch up.  I am now 22 weeks along.  This gift would be so much help for us.  We want to give our one-in-a-million baby the best start in life we can!  Thank you for offering such a wonderful gift to all the new parents out there!

re: Gifted at Birth Care Package Giveaway!

This would be awesome, especially for first time mommies like myself!  My husband and I are trying to be as prepared as possible, but I know there are things we aren't going to know, or we'll run out!  Plus, after I go back to teaching, I'll be in the busy season, with tons of night activities!  So please, help me be a better mom from the beginning!

re: Gifted at Birth Care Package Giveaway!

I wouldn't say I desire to be gifted. Im just doing my job as a mother. Taking care and nurturing my already born and nourishing and housing my soon to be born. I love being a mom, it is so rewarding and a gift in itself, but it is nice to get help every now and then to keep sane and to keep providing for the little ones. Just being the best mommy I can be to the best babies is a gift fit for a lifetime!!!

re: Gifted at Birth Care Package Giveaway!

My husband and I got pregnant and were so excited.  I am a teacher and Outdoor Educator.  Since learning of the new person going to join our family I have continued my efforts to be a role model for young women.  I coach Basketball for 5 &6 th grade, coached track for 6-8th grade and just co-led a 35 mile backpacking trip to Zion Nat'l Park in Utah for 8th grade in the beginning of my 3rd trimester.  Because my husband and I are in the service of others, we have had a hard time putting together our registry for the shower as it is hard for us to ask for things from our families.  This would be a great way to get what we need.  Thank you for holding up such an opportunity to new parents.

re: Gifted at Birth Care Package Giveaway!

My baby is due May 11...which means she can come out any day. This birth care package would be great. This is my first child and we are super excited, but scared financially. We are fortunate enough to have some of the important basics. What i would LOVE though because I'm very environmentally conscience and wish i could afford more organic and natural items. I would love cloth diaper (kushies AIO or thristies) in different size so the baby could grow into them. Books on raising a "green" baby or baby puree recipe books. The baby food processor would be great (kidco or Beaba Babycook),too. I would love seventh generation or method cleaning/baby products. I plan to breast feed but would love Adiri baby bottle so my husband can bond with the baby in feeding process and nursing bras would be great too. Postpartum DHA Vitamins (Nordic naturals has Omega3-6-9 vitamins)  so i can be providing the best breast milk for my baby. These are just a few things that pop in my head but i know there are more great "green" baby items that i would love. I'm sure there are plenty of deserving mother but for me, i plan to be the best mother i can be. Which also includes to raise a child who will be aware of caring for our earth. In the process i hope  to make a minimal impact on earth by doing what i can to as a mother and my impact will make a greater impact by the way I influence my children who are part of the future of planet earth.  I feel everyone needs to start somewhere to help our environment, and this is a part of my impact.

re: Gifted at Birth Care Package Giveaway!

I would love to be gifted. I became pregnant in April 07. Three of my really close friends found out shortly after me that they were pregnant and have all had there babies.  After having a miscarriage in June 07. Due to hormonal imbalance.  I became pregnant again in September 07'. I am due in less than 3 weeks.  I am currently still working and plan on working till LO comes. My company doesn't offer paid leave. I will have 6 weeks off and will have to use my vacation and sick time to compensate for some of my pay that I otherwise wouldn't receive. I have had a pretty easy pregnancy compared to some women. I think we all deserve it just as much as the other women in the world we all have stories and they are great to read about everyones experiences.

re: Gifted at Birth Care Package Giveaway!

This is such a wonderful give away, and what a better time, then when you have the baby. I am not due until October, however I would love the gift because I won't have any paid time off for my leave, and my doctors already stated they won't consider working for at least 6 to 8 weeks after the birth. This will be a hardship for us, while we are also celebrating our gift.

I would love the gift cause I'm a full time pediatrician and now a new Mommy, and more than exhausted trying to do both jobs well.  Also I'm still nursing, so not sleeping at all at night.  I wouldn't change my life since having my baby, but I just need a little pick me up.

My husband and I would also love to be gifted, of course!  Who wouldn't!  We can't say we deserve it but we sure would appreciate it!  We're both just graduating from college in a week or so and starting out in the world, and we're expecting our first little one in about a month!  We're pretty much as low income as we can be because of it and so help is always a blessing!  :)

This is my first pregnancy and I couldn't be happier. I am a full-time student and I also work part-time. I am due in September, which is during the beginning of my fall semester at college. I will be unable to take the semester off and will end up only getting one week off for my new baby. Luckily I am taking mostly evening classes and will get to be home with my little miracle a lot! I know things will work out just fine, but it would be very awesome to have some special treatment for an entire 12 weeks. Thanks!!

My sister in law is due to have a baby girl within the next 4 weeks. There were some complications that led her to have an amniocentesis done. Her baby girl who is due within the next 5 weeks has Cystic Fibrosis. This is a scary time for my sister in law and her family. I know I'm supposed to tell why I deserve this giveaway I know someone who deserves it more and wanted to tell you about her. Please choose my sister in law and her little girl, Grayson Jo, to win your giveaway. We cannot wait to be there to welcome Grayson into this world but your gift could help to make this wonderful occasion even better.

re: Gifted at Birth Care Package Giveaway!

I would so appreciate this gift. We are due in June with our first baby. My husband is being laid off right before the birth and we're losing our income and insurance. We also had a shower but many of our dear friends couldn't afford to bring gifts, so we have a lot of stuff still to get. About a month after I have the baby we're moving from LA to San Francisco for me to pursue a PhD in the fall. Despite our setbacks financially, and having this baby, I am not letting go of my dreams. I believe my commitment to them will be inspirational for my daughter. Plus, her daddy will be home with her full-time, which will also be a wonderful gift in her life. We are so blessed with love and family and friends, we are just a little short on the material things. That's where this gift would really help. Thanks so much for the opportunity!

My Sister-In-Law is the sweetest person I know and is so excited to be expecting.  She is due July 4th and although I would love to be with her to help out with her new bundle of joy once the time comes, we live 5 hours apart.   As a mom of a 13 month old, I know how it feels during those first weeks of mommyhood and I would love to share this amazing gift with her.  I feel like this would be the perfect way to surprise her with a mommy care package!    Thank you so much for offering this opportunity!

re: Gifted at Birth Care Package Giveaway!

I would just love this gift because my husband and I are going through so many changes at the same time. I'm 34 weeks pregnant with our first baby (a girl!!), on bedrest because she's trying to come early, we're moving out of state next week to be near family, selling our house here, moving into a townhouse sight-unseen there, DH is starting a new job there in two weeks which he's been pursuing since November 07 (does no one  in that company understand timelines?!), I'm changing careers, and we don't have half of the stuff from our just-necessities-registry for the baby.  Plus selling our house here (having to keep it ever show-ready while packing for the move... oy!)  is going quite slowly - we move in a week and have no offers as of yet - can you say mortgage plus rent?  AGH!  You know that life-stressors scale you learned about in Psych 201 in college?   We're evidently trying to hit the top 5 in one fell swoop.  My DH is so wonderful and supportive, doing so much to help me be good with doctor's orders, and staying positive despite how he must be freaking out inside.  It would be a lovely sigh of relief to receive this gift to help with our most important life change - our new baby! :-)

I could find a lot of (good) reasons to be gifted : I'm far away from my friends and family, I just got fired from my job because my ObGyn put me on disability and my boss didn't like it, it will be my first kid and I need to buy everything ..

But let's be serious...... The real reason I would love to be gifted is because I love presents :-)  That would be a great first mothers day for me :)

Good luck to all of the other players :-) And thank you if you choose me ;)

re: Gifted at Birth Care Package Giveaway!

This has been a whirlwind of a year.  We got married in June, moved into an apartment, found out we were expecting the next month, my husband got his first teaching job teaching 2nd graders (tiring!!!), I took full-time summer courses that rolled right into a full-time fall semester of classes (yes - still in college!), husband coached high-school basketball while we completely remodeled a house in a month so we could move in by December, I took more classes during January, and began another class for the spring semester in February, I barely had a month to almost breathe a little (amongst all the preparing for having a baby!) before our little one was born in March, but my husband went right into coaching high school soccer.  If you can't tell, we lead a very chaotic and busy life.  I am SO excited to be a stay-at-home mother very soon!  As of now... I could definetily use some pampering... please help!  Thank you for considering us!

re: Gifted at Birth Care Package Giveaway!

I guess we all deserve to be gifted in different ways. After reading some of the other entries my heart goes out to each of them. I am 20 yrs. old, expecting my first child, we are having a boy in July, which I know will be the joy of our lives. We have very little income as my job wouldn't work around my school schedule when I went for my CNA to prepare for my RN (hopefully someday) and my husband only makes a minimal amount of money in the factory he works at, so because of our finance problems it would be a help to win such a wonderful gift.

Thank you for concidering me.

I would love this gift!  We lost one pregnancy in 2006 and had an awful time getting pregnant afterwards.  It was such a difficult time for us, and now that our baby is going to be here in a few months and everything looks good and healthy, a special gift would be a nice treat.

re: Gifted at Birth Care Package Giveaway!

I would love the care package - my baby is due exactly one month after I finish my degree in marketing, I am tripling up on courses this summer to finish before our little guy gets here! By the time September rolls around, I will need some pampering! My husband works long hours in the city and as much as he pampers me, I'd like to give him a break too!

My husband is serving in the United States Air Force and will be shipped off to Iraq any day.  We are expecting our daughter in just a few weeks.  She is a miracle to us as we already lost one during pregnancy.  My husband does so much for me on what little income he makes and it would be so nice to let him relax for a little while.  After all, he is defending our freedom.

re: Gifted at Birth Care Package Giveaway!

I should be chosen because I am a woman who lives with the awful auto-immune diease Scleroderma. 5 years ago I was diagnosed with this rare condition, I had not ever heard of it and initial research left me thinking i would die indefinitely. Having Scleroderma means that your body produces too much collagen and will harden your body from the inside out. While I am luckier than most that my internal organs have been spared major complications the disease has left my hands in a permanently contracted state. That means they are almost closed and do not/will not move. Being pregnant while having this illness is very risky, so far I am doing well (16 wks now) There is no way to know what might in the future. I Need this type of help, I will be struggling every day with the thought that I may drop my child or that I may not be able to pick her up. You cannot know the heartache this brings me. Any outside help with products that are easy to use and open will be lifesavors. Just picking a babyseat has been quite the ordeal. Please consider me for this gift. For more info on Scleroderma please go to www.scleroderma.org or email me natalie_puccio@yahoo.com, I could use any advice.

re: Gifted at Birth Care Package Giveaway!

Just checked out your website: http://www.giftedatbirth.com/ What a great idea!!

I am a mama to 2 adorable & wonderful kiddos (7 & 3) and still (at 7.5 months) working. My husband & I have a start up company that keeps us very busy. He also keeps busy with a second start up.

We are very busy and always trying to figure out the balance to juggle it all! It sure would be lovely to have one less ball in the air to keep track of, such as receiving all these self/ baby care items during the uber busy and exhausting time of postpardum!!!

I am not exactly clear how we'll manage caring for 3 kids, work and each other -- but I'm sure we won't be bored!

I would be incredibly greatful!

re: Gifted at Birth Care Package Giveaway!

Ok so here it goes.... I was working as a bank manager up until my 6 1/2 month.  I then got terminated for being pregnant and after working for the company for nearly 9 years.  I have no idea what to do now.  I have to work since I was the main income for the household.  My husband was able to get me added to his insurance but it is still hard now that we only have his income.  This is our first baby and how dare them take the excitement away from us having our first baby.  I have been on a few interviews over the last month but I think they see the pregnant belly and decide to go a different way in hiring.  I have decided to wait till after the baby but it is getting difficult with money and sad now because I really want to be working.  This would be a bit easier for us not having to worry about what we need each week. Thank you for this chance. charlenemelone@aol.com

re: Gifted at Birth Care Package Giveaway!

Gifts come to us in many shapes and sizes

From God and family and strangers with prizes

All of us are deserving in our own special way

I can only hope that it’s my turn today

No gifts are so precious as the bundle of joy

We anticipate for months, pondering girl or boy

Once she arrives we’ll be so awe-inspired

But burdened with bottles and diapers and tired

I know I could really benefit so hear my cries

For a weekly delivery of many needed supplies

Since this is my first I have quite a dearth

Of all the great products from “Gifted at Birth”

As new mommies and daddies we worry so much

Is this product best? Well-designed? Safe to the touch?

Design, delivery, and environment are worries for you

We really just want to focus on baby’s debut

The best gift to receive would be to stay worry-free

You can help us with that in our time of need

So keep us in mind, we know what this is worth

We really feel we deserve to be “Gifted at Birth”

I desearve this gift because this is my first baby & I am a very hardworking woman who tries to do as much as possible without asking for help.  My husband & I are going through some very difficult times right now & there is a possible chance that I will be a single mother when my daughter is born.

re: Gifted at Birth Care Package Giveaway!

We would all love to be gifted!

I'd like to be gifted because I just moved away from "home" (California) for the first time and it was to Florida. Before now I've always lived within 5 miles of my mom and my twin sister. We are expecting our 2nd and are soooo excited. Everyone loves gifts, me included, but since I didn't get a real wedding or a housewarming party or any other fun gift giving parties (although I've attended more than my fair share), I think I'm overdue! lol! I don't want to go into any sob stories about my birthing experience, but I feel I'm just as deserving as anyone else because I'm a mom by profession. I've already read about so many other deserving moms and moms-to-be that if this isn't just a reandom drawing I know it will be tough to choose. GL to all!

re: Gifted at Birth Care Package Giveaway!

I would love to be gifted! When I found out I was pregnant, I was in the middle of my Masters degree coursework. I was soo scared and terrified trying to think of how I would complete school which includes full time graduate courses and student teaching at a public school in New York. I am 25 years old and this is my first child. All of my family members live out of state. Taking time off wasn't an option because I am enrolled in an accelerated Masters degree program and my family would have been devastated. I am currently 6 1/2 months pregnant. I will walk in my graduation in 2 weeks and I have a month of summer classes after that. I won't finish school until I am 7 1/2 months. I need some time to relax and rest!

re: Gifted at Birth Care Package Giveaway!

I think the best mother's day ever would be if my husband did all the laundry, dishes, cooking, taking care of the baby and cleaning for the day without being asked, or more importantly, without asking me how to do it or where to find the necessary items to do it!  I'd love to lay on the hammock and read all day, sipping on a cool glass of lemonade!  To end the day, I'd enjoy a picnic at the park with my family.

I have a 11 month old beautiful baby, and we are lucky to have all we need right now, but a good friend of mine is expecting a baby next month, and I now she could really use such thoughtful array of products "Gifted at Birth Care" provides. I will definitely put it on my wish list for my second baby. I wish I would win this package for my friend, because she really needs it and would appreciate it very much. Thanks for the opportunity!

This would be great!!! After trying 5 years to get pregnant we were blessed with twins boys last year.  When the twins were 4 months I found out I was pregnant again! We each have a son from previous relationships and were both thankful and overwhelmed by the new pregnancy. That was until we found out after 4 boys this one was a girl! It is has been very challenging year. I no longer work and my husband's pay check has been severally effected by the economy. This would be a great gift to help us along!

re: Gifted at Birth Care Package Giveaway!

I would love to get this for someone else. I just had my 6th baby in January, however, in the past month I found out about a 13 year old inner city girl who is pregnant.

She is the niece of one of my co-workers. Her family is on welfare and she is bringing a precious little boy into this world in July.

I know that they could use all the help they could get for him.

No matter the circumstances of his birth, he deserves as much of a head start as he could get, and it breaks my heart to think about this little girl raising this tiny little baby without any help. I've already gifted a new bouncy seat to him, and I plan on gifting a carrier (since I believe baby wearing is an instrumental part of his development).

This would help out so much for the family! Thank you.

re: Gifted at Birth Care Package Giveaway!

I'm having my first baby in July and would love to be gifted this birth care package!  I think I deserve to be gifted because I'm currently working to put my husband though Veterinarian School.  Between work, my husband, our house, our animals, and just being pregnant, I don't have extra time or energy to really take care of myself, let alone any time to pamper myself.  It would be so nice to have something like this so that when our baby boy comes, we can just focus on him, and I can feel better about myself before I have to go back to work.  Additionally, with DH being in school, we don't have a lot of extra money, so it would be sooo nice to have something special like this.  Thank you so much for this fantastic opportunity!!!!

re: Gifted at Birth Care Package Giveaway!

Every mother deserves to be pampered; however, right now I could really use some pampering. I have a almost 4 yr old son that is autisic and just started talking =-)    In Feb I had a miscarriage.  Found out we were pregnant and due in June.  My husband has been gone for a lot of the pregnancy due to work. In fact, two days before this current mission we found out he is being sent to Africa for 18 plus months only two weeks after I give birth. I have morning sickness almost every other day; which my doctors say only happens to a small group of women. Oh joy...My 2nd ultrasound showed I have a SUA. My 4th showed the baby has only one kidney and it has "several spots". I have now had 13 ultrasounds and several appointments with specialist; all the while alone and taking care of my son. Because of my husbands job we live on the otherside of the US from all family. Stress? Noooo I'm a MOM... In need of some special treatment and pampering? Yes... because I'm a MOM...

Please gift me...my husband lost his job a week before my 29th birthday (when i was at 31 wks) he was also our insurance policy holder, so i had no insurance for a month while we waited to go on my policy. I worked a full and part time job throughout my pregnancy, up until week 35 when my dr. told me to stop. I've had an extremely stressful pregnancy and lots of marital problems along the way...We are looking foward to our son coming and I could definitly use some pampering before he gets here, so I can be a happy mommy for him! Thanks...

re: Gifted at Birth Care Package Giveaway!

1st time mommy and daddy. We are so excited but we definatly feel like were in over our heads. What a wonderful way to feel like we could just enjoy the baby when we come home. We are due in July, and keeping the sex a mystery. So sometimes it feels like we can't get everything we need. This is driving my husband crazy but we think the moment of "it's a ..." will be worth every second!

Baby Number 1 is coming soon and we are not ready- DH is graduating from college in the next few weeks and starting his first job. We are trying to finish our big remodeling project to have the house show ready for graduation party and we have not had a chance to shop for necessities!

I am having my first child in October and my husband has a monster commute, so after his baby time off, I'll be left alone a lot with baby.  I think a little pampering and extra TLC would make our transitions a little easier.  shanamamaj@gmail.com

This sounds amazing!!  We are first time mommy  and daddy to be and we are definetly stressed and confused.  We would love any help we can get to care for our little bundle of joy, who will be here in July.

re: Gifted at Birth Care Package Giveaway!

I would love to be gifted such a wonderful gift package! We are going to be first time parents this July and we just don't know where to begin. We haven't bought a thing, or set up our nursery. We have bought our first new home and will be moving a month before the baby is due. There just isn't any time to plan for our sweet little baby coming in less than three months! This package would be a wonderful blessing!

re: Gifted at Birth Care Package Giveaway!

I would love to receive this gift, as I would pass it along to my little brother and sister-in-law.  My brother Alex is an airman in the Air Force, and he and his wife Leslie are expecting their first baby - my first niece or nephew! - in November.  They JUST bought a new house right before they found out they were expecting, and that on top of TWO car payments on his military salary - well, things are going to be tight for them monitarily, and I know that they could really use this gift!  Needless to say, they are a little scared and worried about providing for their little one...  I am so proud of my brother, and I know that he and Leslie will make great parents, and I know they'll get by!  And every little bit - every little (or big) gift will help!  :-)

re: Gifted at Birth Care Package Giveaway!

Wow!!! what a great gift!!!  I think all moms deserve to be gifted...but since you have to pick just one, maybe it would be me.  This will be our first child (a baby boy) and I am having so much fun looking at all the stuff out there for our little one!  But I think my husband might be having a heart attack on what it all can cost...a few wonderful freebies would do us (him) some good :)  Thanks again for offering up such a great gift!

re: Gifted at Birth Care Package Giveaway!

I would love to be gifted because we live pretty far away form any baby store.  Wal-Mart is about all we have close.  This would be such a blessing, expecally since this is our first, and we have no idea what we are getting ourselves in for!

re: Gifted at Birth Care Package Giveaway!

I think this is the sweetest thing ever!  After having two miscarriages last year, I am thrilled to be pregnant again.  I'm being forced to quit my job earlier than I would have liked to because of the demanding travel and work schedule.  So our budget will be tight as we purchase baby items.  I would love to be gifted!  This would be the biggest gift that we'll recieve.  Thank you for the chance to win.  :)

re: Gifted at Birth Care Package Giveaway!

I would love to be gifted!! I am due in less than a month, and I am still totally unprepared! I'm trying in the worst way to keep a handle on everything and have had no time to focus on the most important thing (our new little girl). I work full time and am a full time graduate student. Then I have to take care of the house, the animals, and my husband (my other child ;)   ). At least I have a few weeks between the end of the semester and my due date... Well due dates are all relative and hopefully she gives me enough time to get a place together for her. :)   good luck to everyone!!

re: Gifted at Birth Care Package Giveaway!

Please gift me.  I gave birth to our first child and opted for a natural birth (no epidural) and had a beautiful baby boy.  However, I now have limited use of my right leg.  I have not been able to take care of my son the way a mother should because my knee gives out when I walk.  My husband has arranged for babysitters - for ME.  Recent tests have found the damage is limited to my femoral nerve and that this condition should be temporary but the time frame for recovery is uncertain.

I would love to be gifted! This is our first pregnancy, and it wasn't planned.  we barely have enough for the very basics, so unless it''s a gift, pampering is out of the question!

re: Gifted at Birth Care Package Giveaway!

I'm a professional that is slowly transitioning into first time mommyhood with each passing month. As my due date nears (September 2008), my anxiety about my career is dwindling and thoughts of taking care of a newborn are coming to the forefront. I'm wondering if I'll be a nurturing mother that will be able to address all my baby’s needs as they arise or if I will be flustered and frustrated trying to figure out what I’m supposed to do. I know in my heart that I’ll figure things out, but it’s hard sometimes to feel confident about becoming a mother until my baby boy arrives. I feel I deserve to win this newborn care package, because as a first time mom, it would help me and my husband ease into parenthood with some comfort. I’ve been a professional for over 10 years and feel confident in my abilities, but becoming a mom is a whole other realm that I will definitely need help transitioning into. I feel this newborn care package would help me with my new position as a mommy.

I'm the winner with or without the gift- but the gift would help : )

First time mom here and I would love (and could really use) being gifted.  The truth is though this little one is already the best gift I could ever recieve.  So either way I can't say I never win anything anymore.

We feel so blessed to be having our first child!  Things will be a bit tough as I am on full disability due to a chronic illness.  It is difficult for me to care for myself sometimes but I know that I will step up and do what needs to be done for our little boy.  Difficult but worth it!

re: Gifted at Birth Care Package Giveaway!

I think that I deserve to be gifted because we are going through a very touch rough move right now to Anchorage AK from Bellingham, Washington. Im leaving all of my childhood friends and all of my family. To start a new life with my husband and baby in Anchorage, where Iv'e never even been before. I'm scared and anxious and I've been super stressed trying to figure out how all of this is going to work. I'm a SAHM and work so hard taking care of Finley, our home and my husband, and now Im starting all over again in a strange place where I don't know a soul! I could use something to keep my spirits up and put a smile on my face..just a little gift would do.

re: Gifted at Birth Care Package Giveaway!

This would be a great big help for my husband and I!  We've been married for just over two years and have been trying to conceive from the moment we said I do!  Finally, a miracle happened and we are about to begin our life as a true family come July and couldn't be happier.  We currently live in an apartment in the upstairs of my in-laws home and though most people might think that is cheap, it is far from the case for us.  Due to some financial problems we've had to support them financially at times which has put us in a bit of a whole ourselves.  With a baby on the way and trying to start things out right, money is especially tight and every little bit would be a huge help!  Thank you for this wonderful opportunity! =)

I would love to be gifted!  I am a new mom to be. I am wondering how this is all going to go, what we will all need for this new little one.  I have worked hard for the home that we have.  My husband and I have had some financial difficulties and he is trying to get a better job, I am the one with the consistent paycheck and covering the family health insurance, etc. so this would be a great way to feel uplifted and cared for and help me in planning for the new little one and help our family out financially. Like I said earlier, this is our first baby, so this is all new to me. Thanks for the possiblity of winning and thanks for the website! - I hope to learn quite a bit!  :)

I would love to be gifted because I am running into some tough times with my husband and have our baby on the way.  After only 4 months into marriage he cheated on me and I filed for divorce.  While being separated I got pregnant and have moved back in to try being a family for our baby.  He doesn't act like he wants to work things out so by the time the baby comes I could be a single mom at only 21.  So I am gonna need all the the help I can get.

re: Gifted at Birth Care Package Giveaway!

This weekend we found out that we are expecting our first child on new year's day.  We have been trying for some time and are very excited.  Our happiness is also bitter sweet.  My mom died of breast cancer two weeks before we found out about our little one.  I know that she would have been very excited for us and I'm sad that I can't share it with her.  I think the gift package  would help get us excited about this blessed event.  Althouh I also realize that there are a lot of great women out here that are also deserving.

re: Gifted at Birth Care Package Giveaway!

I already feel so gifted with this pregnancy!

This is not my first baby, but my daughter (who is now 13) was born under MUCH different circumstances.  For one, I was only 17 the first time around and instead of being a joyous event it was a time filled with stress and worry.

None of my friends at school knew, and my family wasn't well off, so it was a struggle just to put together the basics.  I didn't even have a baby shower!  Thankfully I was able to finish HS, go to college and I am now a successful engineer.

I am now blissfully married to my husband of one year, we just bought a BEAUTIFUL house last fall, and we are doing well in the finance department.  It feels so good to be pregnant and proud!  This will be my husband's first child, and it almost feels like mine too since it has been so long!  I can't wait for the big day!

And guess what?  Right now the baby is due ON MY BIRTHDAY!  That will be the best gift of all!

We are all very deserving of this prize.  After 1 1/2 years of trying to conceive our first baby, I have a true understanding of what a miracle babies are.  I have a truly amazing husband who can't wait to be a father.  As a  pre-k teacher it has been so much fun watching my students enjoy this pregnancy with me.  I thank you for even considering me as a recipient for this gift.  Happy Mother's Day to everyone.

re: Gifted at Birth Care Package Giveaway!

I have a three year old son and I am expecting my second child. It is a girl this time and the pregnancy has been extremely rough. I had to take fertility drugs to get pregnant with her and I've already been hospitalized because I was so sick in the beginning. Right now I am on bedrest and hopefully the doctor takes me off of it in a few days. I have a great support system, but I am so lonely at home when my husband is at his job and my son is at daycare. It would be a great use of my time to pamper myself and try to relax to get off of this bedrest. Thanks!

re: Gifted at Birth Care Package Giveaway!

I would love to be gifted!

I truly have nothing to be upset about --- I am finally at a very amazing place in my life.  I have my boys and they are my world.

I think that I deserve to be gifted because even though I am very content with my life --- as a teacher and mother I try to better my high school students by giving them love and logic in their lives.  For example, today I found out that one of my pregnant students has gone back to using drugs (cocaine) and although some teachers would have turned a blind eye-- I confronted her and talked with her in a loving, caring and REALISTIC way.  I feel as though I am raising my students sometimes as well as my babies.

Thank you for the chance to win!
