My favorite baby shower game is Playdoh Babes. Guests at my shower were all given playdoh and were told to do their best at shaping an adorable bundle of joy. My sisters-in-law adapted this game from a dirtier version played at my bachlorette party! It was so funny judging everyone's attempts. Everyone was hysterical. It was a lot more fun than writing down what you remembered from a basket shown to you or guessing how big the mommy's tummy is with toilet paper.

It is one of the most simple, but the game where you can't say "baby".  Every shower I've been too, you're either given a diaper pin or a pacifier favor necklace.  I think it is hilarious because everyone gets into conversations...usually involving the upcoming arrival...and all of a sudden you hear someone yell "You said baby!".  The next thing you know, it is getting hilarious because people are tripping over their tongues as they realize they are about to say "baby"...and people are trying to coax others into saying baby as well to get their pin/pacifiers back.

My favorite game would have to be the vaseline-cotton ball game.  Each participant smears their nose with vaseline, then is given a large handful (or bowlful) of cotton balls.  When the signal is given, you bury your face into the pile of cotton balls, trying to get them to stick to your nose, then you have to shake or blow them off your nose onto the floor.  At the end of 30 seconds, whoever has moved the most cotton balls from their hands to the floor by way of a sticky nose wins!

My favorite baby shower game is where the host melts different types of candy bars in different diapers and everyone then passes the diaper around and tries to guess what candy bar it was!!  This is also funny considering the Nest Baby newsletter is called "The Poop"...so I thought my comment was appropriate!!  I would love to win this prize for our December arrival!

i think its pretty funny when you freeze little plastic babies in icecubes, put them in cups and you try to get the ice to melt the fastest(without using your hands) , and when your baby is free of the ice, you scream out "my water broke!" and you're the winner!

My favorite baby shower game is timing everyone to see who can put the diaper on a baby doll the fastest while blindfolded. I think it's a good way to prepare for middle of the night diaper changes and it's fun too. :)

Baby shower bingo!  It's easy to organize and play!  Plus you don't feel like a goof ball tasting things or where things, etc!  Most importantly it makes watching mom to be open all the presents interesting for everyone!

At a shower a few years ago, we had to try to come up with as many words as we could out of the letters in the new little girl's name.  

Afterwards we also shared what words we were able to find!  (I was the only one who figured out you could spell "angel" with her letters!)  

It was fun and challenging at the same time!

My favorite shower game was the sock matching game the hostess of my shower put together.  She and some other friends bought 60 (yes, 60) pairs of baby socks in various sizes and designs, then mixed them up and had guests pair off by picking and matching socks. Then teams of two were each given a basket of baby socks and had to match as many as they could in 60 seconds.  The guests had a blast oohing over the tiny socks and my kiddo has a sock supply that will last until pre-school!

I love babyshowers especially the games. My favorite game has to be though where everyone is given a balloon and you have to pop it someway and inside there are baby names and the winner has the name of the impeding arrival child.  It gets really funny with the balloon popping and everyone searching for their name card hoping they won. That is my favorite game well at least for now.

My favorite baby shower game is the poopy diaper game.  There are about 10 diapers each with different kinds of melted chocolates or things in the refrigerator in them.  You pass it around, and smell it, and write down what it smells like (i.e. kit kat, snickers, mustard, etc.) . It's hilarious watching people smell the diapers!

My favorite is when you buy thank you cards and have everyone write their address on one envelope. Then you pick a few out of a box/hat and they win a prize. The best part, though, is that the guest of honor doesn't have to spend time writing names and address on the envelopes for the thank you cards!

My favorite baby shower game was the baby diaper toilet paper game.  We had teams  of 2 and each got a roll of toilet paper and had to make the best diaper on the other person in a time frame.  The diapers were so crazy and some were SOOOO good....others were hillarious and covered more of the "model" than clothes.

It was a fun game for everyone and we took pictures of the finished products for the scrap book for the mommy to be!

My favorite baby shower game is the guess the baby poop game where you melt various chocolate bars onto a disposable diaper.  You pass them around and have guests write down which candy bar they think is in each diaper.  It is hilarious to watch people inspect the diaper and sniff the "poop" to see if they can figure it out.  I love the ducky layette.  Soooo cute!

My favorite Baby Shower Game is the game where the person hosting the party makes labels with different words related to Baby, each guest gets a label. Throughout the baby shower insteadof calling the guest by their name they call them by the baby word. If the person forgets they can each take each others labels. =o) This game keeps you on your toes.

I'd have to say it's a toss up between the "guess that babyfood" and the "dirty diaper" game! I really like it when those are included in a shower :) Recently I attended one where they did the drinking out of a baby bottle... the mommy-to-be filled them all the way up (8oz) and it took at least 8 minutes for it to be gone! It was pretty funny :)

As a general rule I hate *all* bridal and baby shower games, but the shower I went to where they had all the non-moms race to see who could change a doll's diaper the fastest did give me a good laugh, especially since one of the two racers was my sister.

My favorite baby shower game is Baby Scrambler: Choose around 25 baby related items and scramble the spelling. Have the women unscramble the words. The one who gets the most right in 5 min receives a baby shower prize.

I love the necklace game.  You can't say selected words like "baby" and if someone hears you they take your necklace.  The person with the most necklaces come present time wins a prize.  People get so into it... it becomes a hilarious game.

My favorite baby shower game is one that I do alot for co-ed baby showers.  I like doing the "Who can suck the fastest?" with the boys in the room.  We put apple juice or some kind of juice in the baby bottles, and see who can suck the fastest in 1 minute.  It's so hilarious to see these boys trying to chug out apple juice from the baby bottle nipple...hehehe =)

My favorite Baby Shower game is fun for everyone - including the guys.  I gave my sister/brother in law a co-ed shower for their first born and the game - Guess the Baby Food.  We chose 6 different baby foods - some fruits, some veggies and some meals.  A couple of my favorites to use - Mac & Cheese dinner, Carrots and PRUNES!  Every guest gets a small taste of each of the baby foods (labels removed) and they have to write down what they think that food is.  It gets really hard when you use Carrots and Sweet Potatoes.  The person that has the most correct answers gets a gift certificate to eat out at a great restaurant!  Everyone - young/old, male/female - loves this game!

It would have to say, the Baby race obstacle course. Basically you get 2 light weight strollers and set up tables with baby dolls, diapers, baby wipes,baby powder, clothes and have a large area with different challenges marked off with orange cones. Have them start by changing the baby dolls dirty diaper, then they have to dress the baby, strap them in the stroller and race around. It gets really funny when they have to go over hard gravle, thick sand, find  hidden keys to unlock thick chains on gate, etc. People get really competitive and begin to cheat or distract the other person racing. Best game by far.

Another great game is, "Don't let your water break!" Basically you tie a stocking around your waist. In it is a small water balloon that the women must make sure doesn't pop. You play the game...Simon says and have them do things like jumping jacks, try and reach something up high, run to the corner, etc. until all the balloons start to pop one after another. Last person to remain with the water balloon in tact, WINS!

My favorite is a Price is Right game that I do!  I typically have the 'contestants' bid on really old school products, like Close-up toothpaste and Aqua Net hairspray...you know, things we don't typically have a price frame of reference for AND the old standard J&J baby products...all of the initial items bid on go to the parents/mom!  The 'Showcase Showdown' is typically a nice gift basket with some smell-goods and bottle of wine that definitely go to the winner!

my favorite baby game involves husbands and wives.  The couple has to hold hands, and use only their free hand to cloth diaper a life size baby doll (pinning too!) Hilarious Hijinks ensue :)  The couple that does it that fastest WINS!!

My favorite game is the one where you have to use the parents' names to come up with possible names for the baby.  For example mom and dad are George and Sarah Johnson.  Everyone has a few minutes to write as many possible first names from the letters in the above names (John, Jon, Sasha, etc.)  Also if the couple has other children their names can be included in the above.

I almost forgot, another great game I came up with is, "what will baby look like?" You take a picture of DH and you and make plenty of copies to hand out to the tables. Give everyone a blank sheet of paper with a box of crayons. Allow for the guests to draw details of what and who they think the baby will resemble and look like. Really funny when the couple gets to look through them and choose the winner. Gets the crowd laughing and its like art class all over again.

I haven't had a shower yet, but i've been to many and the game I like is the one where the guests take a string or something and cut off how much they think will fit around Mom's belly.  Some will have way too much or way too little, so it's good for some laughs!

My favorite game to play at a baby shower is the dirty diaper game.  For my best friend's shower, I melted small candy bars (i.e. Snickers, Milkyway, Crunch ) into diapers and passed them around.  It was hilarious and everyone had a blast! All the guests were sniffing and examining the smells and textures of these poopy diapers.  I melted a tough one to figure out for my tie-breaker.  I am throwing my little sis a shower this summer and plan to play again!

My favorite game is the memory game.

You take a board and draw squares the size of a post it and make enough squares for how ever many words you want to use twice. Put the same word in two different squares until you fill them up cover them up with post its and number the post its. You work around the room giving each guest a turn to try and find the matching words and once they do they get a candy relating to the word. For example Daddy=Mr Good Bar, Dr. Bill = 100,000 Bar, Umbilical Cord = Rope Licorice, &  Breast = Milky Way Bar. The guest love this game because they all pay attention trying to remember where they saw word and they laugh when they see what candy it relates to. It's fun and I find that all the other games that are fun to watch usually not everyone participates because they get embarrassed. This game everyone participates and nobody gets wet or laughed at.

My favorite game is 'Guess the Baby Item' A  hole is cut out the side of a big box (any value diaper box works well) and inside are various 'typical' baby items: teething ring, nipple, nose aspirator, jar of baby food, pacifier, nail clippers, diaper rash ointment, etc.). Players have to reach in and feel the items (without looking), and list on a piece of paper, as many items as they think they can identify. This game is especially fun if you have a fair number of guests who aren't parents ;-)

My favorite game that I have played at a baby shower was @ my best friends shower and plan to play at mine. You put a penny between your knees (legs) and tip toe to a shot glass and try and make it in. The shot glass is about 2 chair links away. You can time it or not, though the person to get it in wins a fabulous prize!

My favorite thing we did was not so much a game as an activity - it was a blessing ceremony for us and baby. My friend who is also a priest wrote us a ritual that included some of our favorite poems and scriptures (including ones we had read at our wedding), which were read by my husband and friends. We renewed our wedding vows, and then made new promises to our baby. Everyone touched me or my belly and offered good wishes and prayers for me, and we finished by having everyone touch a basin of water while expressing their love and blessing over the baby. We saved that water and we will use it to wash our newborn in the blessings of our friends.

Let me tell you - there was not a dry eye in the room! It was by far the most meaningful thing I've ever done at a baby shower, and I was so lucky it was for me! It could easily be adapted for any spirituality or none at all, too. I highly recommend incorporating a formal celebration of womanhood and life into your shower!

i love the one where everyone gets a toothpick and a piece of pink bubble yum and you have to make a baby out of them. people get really creative! they are then laid out on a platter next to a number (one by one) and the mama gets to pick her favorite number! that girl gets a prize!

My favorite baby game is when everyone has to cut a piece of yarn to try to guess how big around the mommy to be is. It gets lots of laughs and makes mommy feel good when the string is too short. :)

My favorite game is the candy game.  Guests are given a list of pregnancy, baby and birth terms/events, then have to guess which candy bar matches.  Ex.  "Baby giggles" is Snickers, "Hospital bills" is 100 Grand.  Can have one winner (whoever guesses the most right) that gets a basket of candy bars, or can do it out loud so that the first person to shout out the correct answer gets that candy bar!  Great for chocolate lover moms like me!

My favorite baby shower game is putting the toys away. The players starts at one end of the room, where there is a big pile of toys, and they have to move the toys by crawing to their own baskets, at the other end of the room. Whoever moves the most toys wins!!!

I am so excited about my upcoming baby shower. It's for a girl this time so it's really really exciting! My favorite baby shower game is pretty easy to set up. You make diapers out of napkins and put dinner mints in all of them. Each guest receives one when they arrive. Every either eats all of the mints or dumps them out. The person with the hidden messy diaper wins! It's so funny watching the reactions on their faces. Especially if they were the one of the many to actually eat the mints!

You spell out the name of the baby, each letter on a card and pass one to each person and they write a nice comment or peice of advice about your new baby that starts w/ the letter of the card. Its a nice keepsake and it can also be very funny!

I'll admit that I'm not too fond of any baby shower games. One shower, the hostess gave everyone a baby diaper safety pin and you were told not to cross your legs. If someone caught you crossing your legs, they got your pin. The person w/the most pins, won the prize.

My friend and I did this game last summer for a shower we hosted:  You type out part of a nursery rhyme, and the guests have to fill in the blanks.  It's fun to recall old nursery rhymes and see what the other ladies remember!  Whoever remembers the most can get a little prize.

My favorite shower game is the baby animal game, where guests have to pair up the Adult animal with the baby name for it...i.e. Bear - Cub.  The guests at my shower REALLY got into this one...you could hear a pin drop it was so quiet.

My favorite was guess how big mommy is.  Each guest cuts a piece of streamer to the size that they think the preggo's belly is around.  Then the preggo cuts one and compares it.  It is funny to see how bigg or how small they think you may be.

My favorite game is "Baby Memory" A big box (size of a shirt box) and inside are about 30 various baby items: nail clippers, pacifier, rattle, teething ring, bottle nipples, nose aspirator, jar of baby food, diaper rash cream, baby comb, baby brush, diaper, bib, hat, etc.  Players get 5 seconds to view the items in the box and once the 5 sec. are done, write these items down on a piece of paper. The most items someone remembers...wins!

My favorite was a bingo game that my sister created  - it had a group of baby items on each bingo ticket, and as I opened gifts, guests who had that item on their card could cross it off. It was a great way to keep everyone entertained during the gift opening (which can get pretty boring once your gift has been openend!)

Pregnant Twister- Play twister. Everyone who is not pregnant must wear a pillow with a fanny pack that has weights in them. The pregnant people do not need to put anything else on. Everyone will have a whole new respect for what the pregnant people go through!

My favorite baby shower game is the MELTED CANDYBAR IN THE DIAPER GAME.  You take various mini candy bars and melt them is different diapers and then your guests have to guess the name of the melted candy bar in each diaper.    

This game is always a blast and gives you mixed messages---you know it's a candy bar (YUM!) but it looks like poop in a diaper!

I really enjoy playing "guess the safety pins." You have to guess how many safety pins are in a jar. The one who comes the closest wins the door prize. It's alot of fun to play.

I like the diaper pin baby game!  each guest gets a clothes peg attached to their clothes and when the shower starts... the guests are told they cant say the word "baby". if the guest is caught, she has to give up her pin to the person who caught em and the guest who has the most clothes pegs wins

My favorite Baby Shower Game is pin the diaper on the baby. There's a board with a baby drawn on it and where the diaper goes has velcro but there's also velcro on the babys head. Each guest is blind folded and spun around a few times and given a diaper and you have to try and get it on the baby's bottom. It's so funny when it ends up on the babys head....

Have candybars mashed in Diapers and everyone has to go and decide which candy bar is in the diaper. This is sooo funny... to see people but their faces up close to what looks like a dirty diaper is priceless!

At my cousins baby shower we were to cut a piece of string in what we thought would be the distance around her and her bump. The person with the closest to her actual girth was the winner! :)

One shower I attended we played a game where each guest was given a timed turn holding a babydoll, talking on a cell phone, and hanging a basket of baby clothes on a clothes line with clothes pins. The guest who was able to acomplish all tasks simultaneously in the shortest time won a prize.

I always thought that the best game was when you have to go shopping for the baby and you do not know what the gender is.  It makes you be creative to try to find something that would work for a boy and a girl!

I love the game where you get to write messages on the diapers.  My friend worked with all blue-collar men when she was expecting.  They had a surprise baby shower for her and all the men wrote things like, "I left you a surprise!" and "Daddy's Turn!" on them.  There were more, but I don't want to gross out those moms who are having bad morning sickness right now.  Just use your imagination!

The most amusing game is done at a couples shower... All the men get either baby bottles or sippy cups and have to drink out of them!  It is one of the funniest things to watch!  All these grown men trying so hard to suck out of these bottles/cups.  The winner is always so excited he won, like it proves that he's a man, Haha!

This game is easy and fun. Have each guest guess girth of the pregnant belly bu snipping off the correct length of ribbon. Use colorful non elastic ribbon. Have each person tie their ribbon around the belly. The closest one is a tied ribbon with the shortest amount of hanging ribbon.

There are so many games but one we've played a few times is:

everytime the word baby is mentioned the person that said baby has to pull a piece of paper out of a hat and do what is on paper. Example sing a song, hop on one foot or what ever you choose to have them do. Sort of corny but can get funny with the right options wrote down.

I would give anything to win this for my new grandson due in sept.

they are having a baby shower and I live 1200 miles away. This would be the hit of the party.

TWO HANDS - This game is played by pairs. Each pair stands side by side with one person using only the right hand and the other person using only the left hand. Dress a baby doll with diaper (preferably with pins, onesie, shirt, socks, and pants (tie shoes if you're up to a challenge!)

At the last Baby Shower I attended, we played the Baby Name Game.  But the new twist was that it was celebrity baby names and you had to name the famous parents.  It was sort of hard, but FUN!!!

At my friends shower, they made little tiny diapers out of felt with a tiny safety pin and everyone wore one because it was attached to everyone's name tag.  So at some time during the shower, they told everyone to open their diapers. If it was clean, you won a prize. If it was "dirty", you didn't. (They just used a marker to color inside the diaper to make it dirty).  It was super cute, and easy.

I was at a shower redently and they played a game called "My Water Broke". It was a really cute and different idea. They put small plastic babies in ice cube trays and everybody got an ice cube in there water glass. When the ice cube melted and where paying attention!! LOL You yell out " My water broke" and you win the door prize.  I did not win!  But It was different, thought i would share that.

In the summer, we pre-pack beach bags for each kid.  We pack one set of swimming gear, a change of clothes, a beach towel, sand toys, sunblock, hair ties, sunglasses, a hat and some plastic bags for wet clothes or garbage.

My favorite game was the diaper raffle. On the invitations, tell everyone to bring in a pack of diapers for the baby to be. Put everyone's name on a piece of paper who actually brought them and pull a name for a prize. The guest wins a prize and mommy goes home with lots of diapers!!
