The “Breastfeeding Giveaway with TheBump.com” Sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”) entry period commences at 1:00PM Eastern Daylight Time on August 2, 2011 and ends at 3:00PM Eastern Daylight Time on each Tuesday between August 2, 2011 and August 30, 2011 (i.e., on August 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30 of 2011) (each, an "Sweepstakes Entry Period"). The Sweepstakes is sponsored by The Bump, a division of XO Group Inc., 462 Broadway, 6th floor, New York, NY 10013 (sometimes hereinafter singularly referred to as the "Sponsor").

ELIGIBILITY:

This Sweepstakes is open to any legal resident of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia, 18 years or older as of date of entry. Entrants must be a registered member of www.thebump.com as of date of entry to be eligible. Employees of the Sponsor; any promotional companies or advertising agencies participating in the Sweepstakes and employees of their respective subsidiaries and affiliates; any persons involved in the creation, development, or implementation of this Sweepstakes; and any other persons or entities directly associated with this Sweepstakes and any members of their immediate families or households are ineligible to participate. Entries for the Sweepstakes drawing must be received prior to the expiration of the Sweepstakes Entry Period. This Sweepstakes is void in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands and wherever prohibited or restricted by law, and is subject to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. By submitting an entry form, entrants agree to abide by these Official Rules and all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations that govern sweepstakes.

PRIZES/VALUE:

Each week during the Sweepstakes Entry Period:

Your full name, address, city, state, zip code, email address, date of birth, and complete responses to the entry form are required for entry. . Entrant will receive one (1) additional entry (for a total of up to two (2) entries, including the initial entry submission) for re-tweeting Sponsor’s promotion message via Twitter or re liking the message on Facebook during the Sweepstakes Entry Period. Limit one entry per person/email address (plus one additional entry as provided in the previous sentenceEntries must comply with file specifications on entry page and must be in English. Entries must be entrant’s own original work and owned solely and exclusively by entrant, have not won a previous prize or award and have not been previously published, must not infringe on, misappropriate or otherwise violate any third-party rights (including but not limited to copyright, trademark, rights of publicity or privacy or any other proprietary right), and must be deemed suitable by Sponsor. RANDOM DRAWINGS/ODDS OF WINNING/WINNER:

The potential winners of the Sweepstakes will be selected in a random drawing from all eligible entries received, on or about the day following the applicable Sweepstakes Entry Period. Each winner will be notified via email and/or U.S. mail, using the contact information provided on the winner's user profile. Each entrant is responsible for the accuracy of the information included in his/her entry. The Prize drawings will be conducted by Sponsor. The Prize drawings shall be final and conclusive. The odds of winning a Prize will be determined by the actual number of eligible entries received. Potential Prize winners will be required to sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability Release, and where legal, a Publicity Release within ten (10) days of notification attempt. Two thumbs up for VBACs
Good news for mamas shooting for a VBAC: The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) has announced new labor and delivery guidelines which would make it less restrictive to have one, after all. In a recent release, ACOG deemed VBACs a "safe and appropriate choice" for women who've had previous cesareans (and even multiple cesareans) -- an announcement which may reverse the alarmingly high c-section rates that have been climbing in the U.S. over the last 30 years. Seems like we're always hearing mixed messages about the safety of home births -- and this week was no exception. Last year, one study ruled it just as safe as hospital births. But another study (published in the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology earlier this month) reached a very different conclusion: apparently, the average mortality rate of babes born at home was actually triple the rate of those born in the hospital. Making headlines
After last week's Pottery Barn Kids recall, U.S. lawmakers sprung into action on the drop-side crib debate, calling for new and harsher crib regulations to go into affect early next year. Among the new rules?
