"At first we both wanted to wait about a year before we started trying... but we couldn't wait that long..."
First time's a charm...
My husband Justin and I have been married since May 23, 2008. We met at Kent State University, in Ohio. At first we both wanted to wait about a year before we started trying to even get pregnant, but knowing us, we couldn't wait that long. We decided to go off birth control the last week in July and got a positive pregnancy test back on August 28. We were both in complete shock that it only took one cycle to get pregnant -- we both thought it would take longer.
So far this pregnancy has had both its ups and down. The usual morning sickness and tiredness that is expected has taken its toll, but I have also learned so much about my body and am amazed at what it goes through to grow a human being. My relationship with Justin has only gotten stronger since we found out we are expecting -- especially knowing that there is part of us in our new addition. We both wanted to be young parents so we are so excited and grateful God gave this opportunity to us.
Almost a family
We found out we are having a boy, and are planning to name him Isaac. He is due on May 6, 2009. We both are looking foward to just watch him grow, and instill important life lessons upon him, along with having a wonderful time as family. We want to add three more children to the family eventually -- God willing. But right now we are working on moving to our new home in Kentucky, getting the nursery ready, being financially responsible, and enjoying our time together still as newlyweds.
