Already a mom of two girls, Traci Smith now has a new baby boy, Christian.
Delivery room shocker Since this is my third, I figured I’d know the exact point when I’d need the epidural. But, by the time they put it in, it was already time to push. The shocker was that the epidural didn’t work!
Her birth team It was really important for my husband to be there because he supports me so much. Also, I invited my mom because I wanted her to experience the birth of her grandchild.
Favorite baby body part I love the little part between his eyebrows and right above the bridge of his nose. It’s the perfect landing spot for kisses. I kissed it so much that he got a little dry patch and we had to put lotion on it!
New mom moment The force and velocity behind baby bodily functions always amaze and appall me!
Favorite stroll I love the new outdoor mall in Gilbert, SanTan Village. They have a great tree slide for the kids to play on. It’s also nice to spend the afternoon at the Arizona Museum for Youth in Mesa. While my other kids are exploring, I can push Christian around in the stroller.
Best baby gift I loved my maternity photographs with Jenny Schomaker. She did my photo shoots for babies two and three, and it meant so much to me because I can’t get those moments back. She made me look so beautiful, like I was truly glowing!
Mommy class I did Gymboree classes with both my girls and really enjoyed it. I’m looking for a mommy and baby yoga class to take with Christian. In the meantime, I just love our cuddle time together.
How she stays connected A girls’ night out is crucial, even if it’s just hanging out at someone’s house or going to a fun restaurant. Also, blogging is a great way to check in on other moms.
> Baby-friendly eats Joe’s Farm Grill in Gilbert is awesome! It’s like having an indoor picnic with your family.
