"I look forward to being pregnant and cooking the little bun..."
I met Brian my first year of college and never in a million years would have imagined we would be married five years later. We were stunt partners on the competitive cheerleading team and drove each other nuts, but we were friends from the start. We helped each other through relationships and break-ups, always being the constant in each other's lives. After about two years, something changed and I saw my best friend in a new light. He was everything I wanted and someone I couldn't live without. We dated for almost three years before getting married and in July we'll celebrate our second anniversary.
We both didn't want to wait too long before we started a family, but what was more important is that we would be financially stable so that I could be a stay-at-home-mom. That has been top priority for us and we have been working feverishly to pay off our car loans and credit card debt to ensure we can survive off one income. We paid off our cars last year and April first of this year we made our final credit card payment and could not be more thrilled!
Now we are officially in the TTC process and I find myself even more impatient than before, which I did not think was possible. But we are just at the beginning of the journey and we have faith it will happen when it's supposed to. We are hoping to have a 2009 baby to bring home and raise together in our own crazy way. I cannot wait to see Brian as a dad -- I know he will be wonderfully caring and supportive. I look forward to being pregnant and cooking the little bun. (Remind me I said that when I am throwing up). More than anything, I can't wait to meet the little person that has a little bit of Brian and a little bit of me.
