Traumatic Santa experience???

So we didn't do it last year, but this year, we put DD on Santa's lap and of course she cried.  Since that night she's been super clingy and for the first time in 6 months she would not go to sleep alone for nap or night-time and previously, we'd just put her in her crib and she'd sleep w. no fuss at all.  I've spent the last 4 nights sleeping on the floor next to her crib to reassure her. (and i'm exhausted!)  Now, I don't know if it's only this experience or the fact we've had the in-laws in the house visiting thats messed up her sleep, but she's always been amazing with sleep.  Anyone else have a similar experience?

Okay this made me LOL because my FB status is currently about kids crying on Santa's lap, DS will not be sitting on Santa's lap unless he asks to.  And I'm sure it's the crazy schedule with the IL's.

Hmmm that is weird.  But I really can't imagine it has to do with Santa.  I mean maybe this is wrong, but I always kinda thought that at this age they don't really remember stuff like that?  Like when they get hurt and we feel bad about it for days, they have forgotten about it after two minutes.
