Vaccination question?? Odd lump...

Holden got a few vaccinations at his 1 year appt, but for the life of me I cant remember which ones... I know he didnt get MMR and they were out of one of the other ones, he did get the H1N1 vac though.   Anyway (get to the point Jen!)  Today I noticed that one of the places he got a shot was swollen, red and hard.  I noticed this around 3, by the time I showed dh at 6:30 a couple other red spots within an inch or two of the bump had shown up.   Since he received his vacs on the 27th of January could this still be a late reaction to them?  Or is it possible that he got bit by a very big bug exactly on the injection site and isnt reacting well to that?   I plan on calling the pedi tomorrow of course but I just wanted to get some insight...  What do you think??

Isa had a bump once. I called the ped and they said it's normal as long as it doesn't get worse. It seems kinda strange that he's having a reaction this long after, though. Def call. :)

p.s. We're going to Vegas in April! See you there! ;)

I remember the pedi telling me that Max might get a hard bump at the vaccination site and that it was normal, but like Justine says, it does seem a little odd that it would show up this long after the shot, plus with the other spots nearby. I would probably call the pedi and ask.

Bumps are normal but if it spreads call the pedi to a) see if you need to give him benedryl and b) they should have documented which vax it was. They might be a bit more cautious next time around.

Did he get tetanus?  I think that one can lead to that kind of symptom although it is a little late.

We got the Chicken Pox vaccine at T's 1 year, I found this on Babycenter.  I don't know if you know if he got this vaccine but it could explain the problem.
