Mattress

Did you guys gat a mattress that went from infant to toddler?

I didn't - it's just an infant mattress (came free with the set I bought JT). So now I'm thinking of getting him one that is for a toddler and giving the new baby his old mattress.

Any recommendations on a good toddler or infant to toddler mattress?

Ours came free with our cribs, but say "crib and toddler matress". I plan on using them until we convert their cribs to full size beds (they will be used as toddler size day beds first).

Mine says the same thing as SweetH, and I will use it for the toddler bed.

So did you have to flip it? Is one size for infant and one size for toddler or does it just mean it fits in either size bed?

I thought the toddler sides were supposed to be softer.

Ours does not have designated sides, but I know some do. Try looking up your particular brand/model and see what the internet says.

We got one from Target. I think we got an organic cotton one. One side says "baby" and the other says "toddler". I don't know how it compares to other mattresses, but DD seems fine. We'll use it until she switches to a big bed.

Thanks ladies. I picked one up for JT that is a bit softer than the one we have, then I'll give the harder one to the new baby. JT seems fine with it so I'm sure new baby will be too. The ones that flip really didn't seem all that different when I compared the two sides so I saved myself some $$.

Glad to know that you have found the one that you was looking for. I was going to suggest you a memory foam mattress as I have one that is quite comfortable, but as you have already purchased one, I wish you all the best for your new mattress.
