Hello, Whovians!

I've been lurking for a couple of weeks now, and I've noticed a few Dr.Who siggies.

Is anyone else excited for the Christmas episode? Did you bawl your eyes out when the Ponds left?

I am so curious about how they will introduce the new companion, when she was killed in the first episode. I'm thinking that he meets one of her ancestors, and that will be the next companion. Any theories?

Also: #10 is my favorite, I want to be like River Song when I grow up, and if I ever go to ComicCon, I'm going as Rose.

I am irrationally upset I don't have cable anymore & cannot actively participate in this discussion :(

I may have to spring for the Amazon Prime trial just to get caught up & watch the Christmas episode - I think it plays new ones.

Thank the internets, I don't miss any episodes because Space channel puts them up right after broadcasting on their website. Unfortuneately, they don't keep them up for long, so there's no episodes up right now. So I'm hoping Netfix has it. Other than that, Amazon Prime sounds good, since the site I used to go to for free episodes has been shut down.

Hello!  There are a bunch of us over on the Dec 2012 board, so I'll let the gals know that you're here too.

I know that Amazon.ca & BBC Shop Canada just released S7 episodes 1-6(or 5?) on DVD, but I'm just personally waiting for the whole season and hope they do a funky box thing.

I did cry when the Ponds left, but not as much as when David Tennant left. That was definitely Niagara Falls.  And I was preggers then too.  Good lord.

I have read ahead and know who the new companion is, but as River Song says in her cool voice: "Spoilers!"

My theory is that the new companion and the Doctor have already met in her time stream, but not in his.

I cried when the Ponds left, however I'm bad and looked up spoilers as soon as it aired in Britain so I could be prepared, haha.

Hello Sweeties!

The following is spoilery, but not too much so.

The new companion in played by the actress who was in the first ep, but its not the same character.  Just like  Karen Gillan Was in the mt Vesuvius episode, and Freema Agyeman played a woman who turned out to be "Martha's cousin" in their pre-companion days. The only difference is that Moffat did it on purpose instead of just being open to actors previously on the show coming back to reaudition.

We know this, partly because the new companions name is Clara and the girl from the first episodes name is Oswin.

If it turns out I'm wrong I'll totally self-exterminate.
