Indoor Plants

Can anyone please let me know about some indoor plants that I can keep in the house. I would like to start of with plants with do not need much attention and maintenance. Once I am used to taking care of them, I can add more variety. Suggestions are all welcome!

bamboo is fairly easy to maintain, as is aloe.

once you feel comfortable, I would suggest planting herbs as indoor plants.  Then you can put them to use too! =)
