Any poop holders out there?

So we now hold our poop. She's fussing about needing to poop for 2 days now but is obviously clenching her cheeks and holding it in. I tried holding her over the toilet for 30 min. She just cried the whole time but got no more than a tiny bit out. I've got her in the bath eating prunes now hoping to relax her and let the prunes do their job. Does anyone have any tips for me? She's not necessarily constipated she's just holding it intentionally!

Oh yes... this would be my child as well!! She's had issues with constipation, now she is just scared it's going to hurt, so she holds it in! The pedi said to give her a teaspoon of Miralax a day until it gets better. After about 4 days of Miralax it gets pretty messy.. so we stop.. then start over.. and so on!! It is pretty fun, and by fun, I mean ridiculous! I feel bad for her, I hope she gets over it soon. She goes in stages, sometimes she is fine and will go on the potty, other times it is a fight, and most of the time it is the holding it in for days business.

COUNT US IN TOO!!!! OMG, I could have written this post. But in our case, he goes off into the living room, poops only when he is home hiding on the side of the sofa, and then comes back out and denies that he pooped. He holds it most of the day at daycare, and will not poop on the potty, or when we are out. PERIOD. He will pee all day long, but won't poop. I will put him on a fresh pull up, and he runs to the living room a little later. My husband and I just shake our heads and laugh. He had diarrhea for the last couple of days which has cleared up, thank God. But that was the only time that he soiled his clothes. I have tried juices, baked apples, to make sure that the poop is not hard, because I was thinking it may hurt or something, but nope. Doesn't matter. I have no solution, but just know we are in the same boat.

We do the Miralax too. We just give it to him 3 days a week mixed with Juice, so the poop keeps coming but it doesn't get messy. Jack was so bad at one point he was pooping little pellets and he would get little fissures that would bleed so he didn;t want to poop. Ever since starting the Miralax about 6 months ago its been sooooooo much better.

Kirstin is a "picky pooper". She will only go at home, and needs complete privacy and silence. Tongue Tied

Well I'm glad we're not alone here. It's just so frustrating watching her cry and hurt so badly when she could just poop it out and be done with it.  She finally got one out last night after a bath and dinner, but I'd like to stop it.  When she did finally poop it was a lot but not hard so I don't think it hurt....I think it just feels weird and she's conscious of how it feels now and doesn't like it.  I guess my big fear is that if she won't even go in her diaper now, how in the world am I going to get her potty trained??

Apple juice makes b have the runny stuff. Almost better than prunes that n cherries. He will fart and all of a sudden BAM huge mess cleanup but good for when hes having problems. Might help a bit.
