meat trays

I know... vegetarian is the best way to get rid of them in the trash... but there's no way that DH will go for that... and I did it for 4 years and was totally done with being a vegetarian after that...

So.... those who eat meat... (and anyone else with suggestions...)

What do you do with those freakin' trays?!?  Is there a re-useable option?  Something that I wouldn't feel ridiculous going to the meat counter with...They drive me crazy in the trash can...

The butcher counter mainly just uses butcher paper where I go. No meat trays unless you buy the pre packaged stuff. Also, frozen chicken just comes in a bag, so no tray there either.

Maybe you could ask them to forgo the tray and just wrap in paper?

Yeah. it took me a minute to figure out what a "meat tray" was... we buy all of our meat from the butcher/butcher counter at the store. they wrap everything in butcher paper so we don't have the "meat trays." If you really want to rid yourself of the trays, maybe look into where you are getting the meat from.
