New mom planners

I was just wondering if someone could recommend a planner for a new mom.  I'm a FTM and I tried to find the one from target someone had found a few months ago but my target didn't have it.  I could do a binder with printouts but I have no idea where to go to find a template or what exactly should go in there anyway.  What types of things are "must haves" for planners?  Or is it worth it at all?  Thanks in advanced ladies!

Personally, I use my phone.  I just didn't have time to put things in a planner and my phone did the trick.

I use my phone, a big hangup calander and a small monthly planner that goes in my purse. I do this that way my husband doesn't forget and I don't forget, or if I loose my phone, etc.

I just use my phone also but have it linked up to a google calendar which we use as a family calendar. I can post my events in pink, DH's events show up blue and family events show up yellow. As I add an event in my phone it adds it to my google calendar or I can go on my google calendar and add it directly there. It is really nice b/c it is easily accessible from my phone or any computer and DH can see it during his work day when he may be trying to schedule a side job or just stay up to date with what kids have what appointments and when. I used to have a small calendar/planner I kept in my purse but found that to be a pain b/c I would be adding it to my phone also (since my phone gives me reminder alarms which I need to stay on track). It has worked great!

Oh my bad.  I meant more like tracking sleep schedules, naps, feeding times, how much, diaper changes, and all that stuff.  Anything to suggest on that end?

I agree with the phones for appointments. I use my phone for that sort of stuff and back up with the calendar in the kitchen (with mini schnauzer puppies! awww!) I'm too visual to not have the calendar too.

There are quite a few apps for that, as well and it can give you all kinds of data on feedings, diaper changes, etc. There's even one for timing contractions. I found it much easier to push a button that writing everything down.

I'm all about apps and keeping things on my computer but I think a book where I can write things down might be a useful option for me.  This way if I need to share the info with someone I won't have to print out a bunch of papers.

Although I haven't used it yet, I was given the Baby Daze Organizer.  You can order it on babydaze.net or Amazon and it's just $20.  It has space for recording feeding/diapering, sleeping, pumping, milestones, gift tracker, food diary, medical and contacts and notes information.  The reviews are also solid.

HTH.
