V-day & First Baby Birthing Class, check x 2!

Yeaaaaahhhhh, I am so excited to reach the V-day milestone!!!!  Big cheers to my super little girl for making this far Drinks

Congrats to fellow friends, Lachey & Luv to get to mileston, too!!! 

We had our first Lamaze birthing class this past Saturday.  It is usually for 6 weeks, but we took one day class instead and it was very good.  The instructor went over pre/post birth process and showed 3 birthing videos....right before lunch, ugh!  Afternoon was hands-on session and we learned lamaze breathing techniques.  Also DH learned massage techniques and I was in heaven during session!!  Finally, it was a hospital tour.  I know now where I am going to deliver my baby and things are feeling so real now!!!!!

Congrats on hitting V-Day!  Congrats also to Lachey & Luv as well.  Smile

I'm doing the birthing classes as well, though I am doing the weekly sessions instead of the one day.  I have my hospital tour this Wed and am looking forward to it!

Me: 29, DH 29 – Married 8/31/08; TTC #1 since 1/2012
DX: MFI due to Chemo/Stem Cell Transplant for Hodgkin’s Lymphoma(DX in 2009, transplant Aug 2010). SAs in 2011 and 2012 show 0 sperm (he banked pre-chemo but motility and count are low due to effin cancer). RE said go straight to IVF.
Me: HSC 2/8 revealed septate uterus, septum removed via HSC 3/14.
IVF #1 Started stims 4/16 (Happy Bday DH!) Bravelle & Menopur, Ganirelix; Day 8 of stims revealed 2 mature eggs, ER 4/26 – 1 egg retrieved, 0 fertilized. 1 vial of DH's sperm down, 2 left.
IVF #2 Start 8/6; Gonal-F 300, Menopur 300. Also taking Baby Asprin and DHEA per doctor's orders. ER - 8/20, 7 eggs retrieved,2 fertilized. ET 8/23, Beta #1 9/6: 382... BFP! Beta #2 1864! U/S 9/18 shows TWINS! Our boys couldn't wait to meet us! Kieran James and Colin Michael arrived March 26, 2013 at 33w1d.

My hospital actually ecommended to take this particular class b/w 3-5th month of pregancy, but I took it around 6th month.  I registered others in Dec & Jan.  I don't want to forget what I learned, but I just thought I would take most of them during 2nd tri when I have tons of energy!

I'm glad your class went well.  I'm waiting for the RN to call me so that we can schedule our NICU tour.  More on the scary side than exciting, but I want to be prepared for the worst so that we aren't caught off guard should these little guys make an early appearance.  Still nice to get one more thing checked off my to do list.

Don't worry about forgetting anything.  The L&D nurses will be right there with you, walking you through labor the entire time.

The instructor pointed at the NICU during the tour and I thought about a lot of baby fighters in the room!  I think it's a great idea for you to have NICU tour just in case, but I hope your turkeys keep baking more!!!

I am pushing myself to cross out tons of items from my checklist because time is flying by!!!!! 

Does your hospital offer classes?  I just took mine through my hospital.  I bet your OB can help you with the info, too.  GL!!!
