Wedding Rings

Hi Ladies,

I was wondering how many of you are still able to wear your wedding rings? I am still wearing mine and have had a few people saying that I won't be able to wear them much longer, but I haven't had any swellin yet, they still fit the same as pre-pregnancy.

ill be 29 weeks wed and im still good! agree with you-they still fit like they did pre pregnancy (i think cold weather also helps that vs if it were august).

I am still wearing my wedding ring all the time, just not my engagement ring all the time.  Some days it doesn't fit over my knuckle even when I'm not pregnant.

Sometimes when I am up and moving around for long periods of time and my hands swell a bit, I get worried but my ring isn't super tight to begin with. Still on and I think I'll be ok from here out! I agree about the colder weather thing being a help :)

Mine are still spinning around on my fingers, but I haven't had any swelling yet....yet.  I'm well aware that I might not make it all the way to delivery with my rings still on.

I'm 31 weeks and still wearing mine.  I think the cold weather helps.  I can't wear my engagement ring when I'm NOT pregnant during the summer, because hot weather makes my fingers swell.  I got my wedding ring in a slightly larger size than my engagement ring for this reason.  I can at least wear one of my rings in the summer, and since my wedding ring is way too big in the winter, my engagement ring keeps it from falling off. ;-) 

I suspect I may have to give up my engagement ring before this pregnancy is over, but I think I won't have a problem with the wedding ring.

Mine still fit right now, though they are a bit tight today (and yesterday) due to the unseasonably warm and humid weather we are having the past couple of days.

My legs (lower) and feet are swollen today though, and I'm hoping it's just the weather bugging them as well.  I do not want to deal with swollen legs and feet from here on out.

I still have mine on, but they're getting tighter. I chalk it up to the fact that I'm always so hot!! That and my office is kept at about 75 degrees...

When I was pregnant with Jack, I had really bad swelling due to PIH and had to take my rings off around 18-20 weeks.  My H bought me a pretty sterling silver necklace to wear them on bc I hated being without them.  He promised me that he's going to get me a pendant with the childrens' birthstones on them to wear on it when we're done having babies :)

With my first I wore it the whole time. This one I took it off a few weeks ago because I was starting to swell and it is made of tungsten carbide and can not be cut off if an emergency happened. I replaced it with a thin platinum band that slides off easily (and can be cut).

Mine still fit and come on and off pretty easily, but I took them off because they started to bug me. They made me feel really claustrophobic and the skin under them was getting really dry. Pregnancy weirdness.

Mine still fit but it was becoming harder to get them on and off so I stopped wearing them regularly about a week ago.  I wore them for my shower this weekend, though, and will put them on again next Saturday for my maternity photo session.

I took mine off a LONG time ago but I have some swelling going on and they just weren't comfy anymore.  It was the same way with my son.  It makes me feel weird but whatcha gonna do?

I am 31 weeks and mine still fit. They do feel a bit snug today, but not uncomfortable. I was jokingly telling DH early in the pregnancy that when they stopped fitting, he would have to buy me an anniversary band that could be sized down later. Maybe he will luck out. =)

I'm still good. By the end of the day they're at the 'just fitting' stage, but often I can still move them around and I can still get them on/off pretty easily. I think with the cold it's easier.

Then: Fraternal twins born at 26 weeks in 1983. Me: 640 grams. Brother: 840 grams. Family kept watch in the NICU for 5 months before being allowed to go home. On oxygen for a year and a half after being released.
Now: Me: PhD student and married. Brother: Lawyer and married.
Dad's wedding speech: Thank you to all the family who stood watch and prayed for our children's survival. Well now the little scrawny chicken is married. Who would've thought? (Thanks dad for making me laugh and cry at the same time).

Mine came off a couple of weeks ago.  I HATE it.  I am currently wearing them around my neck on a chain.  My swelling has been horrible though and it's still 80+ degrees where I am at so no relief from the heat yet.

I wore mine the entire pg last time.  No swelling yet, so hopefully I won't have to take them off this time either.

I think it's funny how some people think because it happened to them, it happens to everyone.  So not true about so many things!

 I've thought about doing that, but I'm afraid the chain would break. I went to Kolh's to find a cheap replacement, but didn't like anything there within reason either. It's only two more months (hopefully) before I can wear them again.
