Dumb ultrasound question

When you look at the picture printouts they give you, is that how the baby is positioned? So if the picture is the baby with his head on the right and his feet up in the air, does that mean that is how he really is?  (With his head on the right side of me?) I'm just curious! I know it's REALLY stupid.

I don't think so.  Mine are all side to side and I know he was head down during mine.

Not a dumb question. Its just the angle at which they took the photo. My last ultrasound, LO was kicking my bladder and yet my photo it head on left and legs on right.

At my last one.. LO legs were on my left side, but the picture looks like his head should have been there.

Not a dumb question at all.  I don't think so because during my last one baby was head down/feet up in a vertical position and the photos show him horizontal.

I do high risk ultrasounds...if the head is on the right side of the pic the baby could be head down or a transverse lie w the headto your left side...on ultrasound the maternal right side is the left side on the ultrasound and Vica versa ...hope this helps...
