silkyhorse:I entered the ingredients for two products into the cosmetic database one time and they came back at a 5 and 6 (1 being natural, 10 being lots of nasty chemicals). For the price, I wasn't impressed that they weren't more natural. Plus, the ingredient lists are really long with lots of not very natural-sounding things in them. I think you could do better :)
I did kind of the same thing and came to the same conclusion. You can find cheaper, more natural things by shopping around. I found bar soap at Whole Foods for a super good price, and for my face I use Desert Essence castile soap. Vitacost.com has decent prices and lots of natural things.
