Steri Stripes off and still not healed?

My C-section was last thursday.  The last of my Steri strips fell off today.  I checked the incision and it seems that a few parts aren't completely healed.  There is some pink showing when I lifted up my skin to get a closer look.  Since I have never had a C-section before I don't know if this is normal or not.  I didn't get staples just sutures and steri stripes.  There is no blood or anything oozing out.  So I think its just the top layer that has to seal up.  Thoughts?

I remember that the ends of my incision on both sides showed pink for a little after the strips came off. As long as it's not an angry red, hot to the touch, or oozing, I think you should be good.

Sounds like my previous two (with the exception of one area that was gaping open and had to be packed).  You would know if there was something that needed more immediate attention.  Those parts that were a little opne, I would put a little gauze over it for an hour or so a day just to quantify any drainage amount.  Sounds like yours should be okay, though.

Sounds normal to me, it takes a while to heal completely.  As long as there's no drainage, redness, no fever or odor, it sounds fine.
