Need IF Vet advice on another IVF protocols, etc.

I tried to intro here awhile ago and some people were not comfortable with my joining which was fine and I understood. I am not asking to join but I feel I really need IF Vet expertise.

As you can see in my siggie not only did our FET end in a miscarriage and D & C surgery in July but our 3rd fresh IVF in November we ended up with nothing to transfer at day 3. We had 5 retrieved 3 mature and only one fertilized normally but never made it past two cells and was "dark" on day 3.

I was on a long lupron protocol, I have an AMH which is low at 0.98 although the RE called it borderline all other tests were normal for someone almost 36 which I will be in March.

At my wtf he said he would use a microdose lupron flare but still with bcp this time. He thinks he could maybe get a few more eggs but nothing dramatic, he said a few more eggs could give us a few more embryos and hopefully two or three to transfer.  He really did not have any answers for the awful result and seemed suprised. 

With my first fresh IVF in 2009 I had 11 retrieved and mature and at day 5 had two to transfer (our twins) and two to freeze (the FET miscarriage), this was also a long lupron but at a clinic in a different state.  It seems like such a different result and was only three years ago?

What would you do? Go with this clinic after the previous result? Go to the competing clinic which is newer but has lower success rates and maybe a lesser lab. Stop cycling altogether since my eggs are obviously old and crappy?  Oh we also have to use surgical sperm becaue of DH's dx but the lab said his sperm looked good and do not think it caused the failure.  Thanks for reading, I really aprreciate your advice and experiences.

I'd be more of a fan of you trying an estrogen priming protocol than microdose lupron flare. I never got more than 3 eggs but my microdose lupron was the worst and they wanted to cancel it(they did retrieve at my insistence but the 2 eggs were junk).

Did you have a consult with the other place?  I would at least do that just to see what they would do. As for success rates, I wouldn't be all that concerned about that as low responders typically are harder to get pg and thus stats will be lower.

I would definitely not count yourself out yet - especially since you do have 'proven' success with your own eggs.  I would go for a consult with another clinic (and don't put any weight on success rates - its not always about clinic success rates - its about your own success).

I would definitely get a second opinion. Unfortunatley - three years ago all our bodies were different (as you know - even month to month they change) so comparing yourself to waht you produced three years ago is not that helpful. I know I am in the minority but the micro dose always produced the best results for me. As a PP said - SART results are not always that clear cut. A number of clinics here in NYC do not take the tough cases because they want to protect their scores.

I wish you the best of luck in whatever your next step is but I wouldn't throw in the towel just yet.
