cup...TMI

I ordered a DivaCup from babysteals and have been trying it for the past few days... I ordered size 2 since I have had a baby and am over 30 years old... but it is really uncomfortable.  I've tried folding it different ways, twisting, not twisting, different angles etc.  It's fine if I am sitting, but as soon as I stand it moves out of place and feels like it's going to fall out.  I've cut the stem 3 times until I finally cut it off completely.  It helped a little, but not much.  Advice?!?  Just ill-fitting for me?!? I really don't want to buy another one at $30-$40 since there's no real way to know if it will work any better...esp. since it's definitely not something I can "try on"  before buying.

Ive not been able to get the Diva to work for me. I think it's too long as I believe it's one of the longest on the market. I'm going to give the Lunette a try to see if it works better but yeah, the prospect of paying another chunk of change doesn't appeal to me. But it's better than continually buying disposable products.

I don't have much advise on how to make it better. I think it just doesn't work for some people. Bummer! Sad

Are you sure you have it in far enough? Once mine is in, nothing is sticking out (I didn't need to cut the stem).

Yeah, It's in as far as it can go... I think it's the shape of me...I read after that it depends on the position of your cervix...if you can touch it you need a smaller cup... I turned it inside out today and it seemed to help a lot. I'm gonna try that for the next day or so ...see how comfortable it is...  I'm also thinking about buying the small lunette to try, since it is a fair bit shorter than the divacup. they're on sale at sweetbottomsbaby.com for the next couple of days.  I don't mind buying another one if I am fairly certain it will work.. I just hope it will this time!

Thanks for the heads up on the sale at sweetbottomsbaby.  I placed my order today for the Lunette.  I'm going to try the size 1 and see if it fits any better than the Diva.  I had forgotten about turning the Diva inside out though, might have to try that too!

I've actually been able to forget about it since turning it inside out... Instead of running to the bathroom every 10 mins to re-adjust it!

I might give it another month before buying a different brand...

This is going to sound super weird but do you have a Whole Foods nearby? If so, I would try to buy one from there. When I first bought my Diva I bought it there because they told me if I didn't like it I could bring it back for a full refund. Kind of gross, sure, but really helpful. The size 2 was too big for me - it hurt and I couldn't get it placed right. I returned it for the size 1 and it was better. I could wear it without pain and no leaks but I just didn't love it. I think a different brand would have been better.

TTC #1 for Dh, #2 for me. HSG clear. Low AMH and endo. Multiple Clomid w/TI cycles - all BFNs. 2 IUIs with Clomid and 1 with Femara - more BFNs. IVF#1 25R, 15M, 15F. 5DT of two perfect 4AA blasts! Positive HPT at 5dp5dt. Beta #1 6dp5dt - 72. Beta #2 8dp5dt - 285. Beta #3 10dp5dt - 793. Both babies have strong beautiful heartbeats! Baby B miscarried at 7 weeks. Baby A is holding on through miscarrying her twin, sub-chorionic hematoma, and complete placenta previa. Stick, baby, stick!

Tried my new Lunette size 1 today and its 1000x better than the Diva size 2 for me. I've discovered my cervix sits very low so a shorter cup is what I need. And the silicone is much more flexible so more comfortable for me. So glad I tried a different brand!
