Compression belts

Hello Ladies,

 

I am an older FTM.  I would like to buy a compression belt to use after my c-section. 

Do you have any recommendations on 1) specific belts and also 2) where the best place is to buy?

How long did you wear your belt after your c-section?

I hear the belly bandit works wonders, people have said you can get them at BRU, but you can always just google it. Amazon has everything, so they probably have this too.

I only wore the binder they give you in the hospital to make me feel more "together" for the first week and then I didn't wear anything.

I, too, wore the binder they gave me at the hospital.  It helped keep my belly off the incision and I wore it for about a week after I gave birth.  After that, I wore the Belly Bandit for about 3 weeks and it helped tremendously.  Sometimes it can look a little weird underneath your clothes but I just wore loose shirts and it was fine.  I also wore it while I slept and it was pretty comfortable.  Since I'm a FTM, I don't have any prior experience to draw upon but I really feel like the bandit worked.  Next time, I'll be wearing it the full 6-8 weeks postpartum.

The hospital one was the best for sure. Mine also got too big quickly (within 10-12 days) so I bought some on Amazon. They weren't nearly as nice but they did the job. I was so much more comfortable with one on for the first 3-4 weeks, especially when I was out and had to stand for longer periods of time.

Like PP, i used the one I got in the hospital and it was amazing!!!  I used it for about 4 weeks - all the time.  It helped me feel put together and helped me protect where my incision was.
