Thanks for being here

Yesterday Manada and I had a long day of clinic appointments. Cycle monitoring for her we may have a follicle that will get big enough if her cycle is long enough this month, sono for me yes I have polypsfun times, surgery next cycle, and hsg for both of us we are both people for whom they were horrible and my polyps seem to be blocking my left tube. In addition, I found out yesterday that my brother is in the hospital he should be ok so I'm flying to Chicago this morning and then back in time i hope! for our insemination.
Anyway, I just wanted to say thank you all for being here and for welcoming us to this community. As we sat in the waiting rooms yesterday we both followed this board and appreciated that we knew there were people out there who knew what we were going through.
Whether it is was reading the baby name discussion or having you all offer info and support about Manada's follicle question, it was comforting to log in to this board.
-32 -queer -partnered with Manada
we each want to carry (at different times)

Manada was diagnosed with diminished ovarian reserve and we did 4 IUIs with Manada between Dec and Apr

1st IUI December 19, unmedicated, BFN

2nd IUI January 16 with Femara and trigger, one follicle: BFN

3rd IUI March 13 with Puregon (follistim) at 225 per day; two follicles but second was small: BFN

4th IUI planned for mid April. 100mg Clomid cycle days 3-8; two follicles: BFN

starting with me now

we knew about a blocked left fallopian tubes and found out in May about ovarian cysts, and fluid in my left tube (hydrosalpinx)

planning for a repeat HSG and then possibly/probably laparoscopic surgery to remove the left tube

may try more IUIs with Manada while we sort out my tubes or may just be on hold for the summer

We really were online reading here the whole day as we sat in waiting rooms for hours between procedures.   It really helped.

A.

Same sex couple - 31 years old - donor sperm, carrying our first due to dx of DOR/POF in Nov. 2012.

Low AMH, AFC - 6, Normal FSH, SS-A (RO) Antibodies (Autoimmune issues), tubes clear

IUI# 1 - December 19 - Done too early (24-36hrs before Ovulation) - BFN

IUI# 2 - January 16 - Femara + HCG trigger - BFN

IUI# 3 - March - 150-225iui Puregon, stimmed 16 days with only 1 follicle - nearly missed surge so no trigger - Progesterone - BFN.

IUI # 4 - "Pokey-Pokey" April 9 - 100mg Clomid CD 3-7, HCG Trigger + Progesterone - 2 follicles! IUI done after one O'd and before the 2nd one did. - BFN

...Moving on to trying to get my Partner pregnant with donor sperm. Hoping to come back and try with me, or do IVF with my DP's eggs eventually. My nerves are too frazzled for now

I hope that everything goes well for you two and that your bro gets better fast.

I know that the appointment must suck, but just think, you've started the journey on the road to your family. That is pretty exciting! :)
