Share day suggestions? Xmas around the world

It's DS's share day at preschool tomorrow and his "thing" is supposed to relate to this week's theme of "Xmas around the world." Any ideas?

They've covered Hanukkah, Christmas, St. Lucia Day, Kwanza and St. Nicholas Day. Others have brought in Kwanza music, Elf on the Shelf (I hate this one. You're not supposed to touch him or his magic goes away!), St. Lucia Day crowns...and I'm at a loss. Normally I'd involve DS in the discussion, but today was a crazy day and we got home really late -- I'm just now remembering this!

I was thinking of bringing in one of DS's favorite books - The Christmas Magic - but should I be focusing on something more culturally stimulating?

What do you think?

Can you do something with a nutcracker? Or a Christmas stocking (I had a client once whose grandmother was from Germany and they used a regular sock and put it outside the house or something like that.  I found it fascinating at the time)?

I was going to suggest a nutcracker as well mostly because DS is obsessed with them right now! Lol. I'm not sure if there is any cultural significance but google could tell you!!

A lot of countries also celebrate Three Wise Men day on January 6th to commemorate the Wise Men giving gifts to Baby Jesus and on the 5th you leave a box with grass for the camel to eat and something for the Wise Men to drink and on the 6th children receive presents that the Wise Men left.

My Dominican friend also says one of the wise men is a smoker and they leave cigs for him. Ok, not appropriate for kids but funny none-the-less.

Previously, at work, we celebrated x-mas around the world. I chose China and researched their tradition and brought in fortune cookies.  It was a big hit.

Sorry, had to giggle since fortune cookies originated in California.
