Dropping the bedtime bottle & changing routine

We started a routine with LO very early on & have stuck with it but now we need to change it up a bit. We have always done bath, PJ's, bottle, bed. He doesn't fall asleep on the bottle but it is the last thing we do before he goes into the crib. Now that we are gradually trying to drop bottles we obviously need to change our routine before bed. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what you did and how you changed it? I would like to change it within the next few weeks. Thanks!

I decreased DD's bedtime bottle to just 2oz after about 8 days she didn't want it anymore.  She refused it one night and that was the last bottle in this house.

I just stopped nursing before bed, and he did fine. My DD was the same way. The new routine I have found is harder on me, then them :)

Maybe give lo the bottle and.add.a book at the same time. Reduce oz every night or two and then it will be no bottle and just a book by a week or so. Gluck.

I separated her last feeding from bedtime when we stopped nursing, so it was a few months ago (we stopped BFing around 8.5 months).  But I did it cold turkey and she was fine with it and it didn't affect bedtime.
