I was just about to type up my birth story and I happened upon yours, and I am totally amazed by the similarities! I had exactly a 2 hour labor starting with my water breaking at home, and then immediate intense contractions following.
We lived an hour away from the hospital I was delivering at, and it was rush hour when I went into labor. I definitely thought I was going to have a "freeway baby".
Like you, I was not planning to have a med-free birth because I've always thought of myself as such a wimp, but med-free it was!
Everyone had told me (including doctors, nurses, labor coaches) that labor is NEVER fast for your first born, and it's nothing like the movies where you have to rush to the hospital in a total panic, but to all those reading this post, you now have 2 confirmations that 2-hour labor can happen!
Also, I love your name, Charlotte. If we had had a girl, we would have named her that!
