homediva:When I had my first c-section, there were some complications. I was advised that for any future pregnancies I would have to have an RCS at 38 weeks. I had an emergency c/s and the baby was already part way through the birth canal which lead to some complications.
To my understanding, I was bleeding and they stapled me up quickly, didn't do as much suturing as they normally would and the result is that I shouldn't go past 38 weeks in the future. Does this sound right? I feel a little foggy on the details, obviously I'll check it out with my doctor when I get pregnant again but I was just curious if anyone else had this advice? I would love to go longer, if I can.
Based on that, I'm thinking there was more than just normal procedures done to stop the bleeding. Not that they did anything wrong, but that's it's not a case of the insurance/hospital saying no c/s before 39w.
