Anyone do the crib transition late?

Did anyone wait and do the crib transition later? DD is almost 10 months and I would like to do it now. She started off in a RNP, then a PacknPlay, and now cosleeps with us. I guess I'm just looking to see if anyone has any suggestions, ideas, or advice that worked for you without a ton of crying from your LO. Thanks.

Watching this too. My 10 month old was sleeping in the crib, but now we are cosleeping, but I would like to transition her back to crib. So far I tried to introduce a lovey but without much success.

We did the rock n plays for the first 3 months or so and then switched to the crib, not as long as you but still it was later than most.  I would just cold turkey switch. The first few nights will be hard...but they'll adjust. You may just have to prepare yourself for a couple nights of crappy sleep so do it when you dont have much going on for a few days. You LO will get the hang of it though and your nights sleep will be much better in the long run.

Totally not a judgment, but I don't understand how anyone can cosleep. I can't sleep with my kids in my bed. They move so much!! We went on vacation a couple of months ago, and DD1 slept in a king with us, and she started out with her head on the pillow in between us. Fast forward about ten minutes, and I was getting kicked in the face and her head was at the foot of the bed.

To answer your question, I say the earlier you get LO in a crib the better. Too many of my friends still have their two to seven (!) year olds sleeping in their beds with them. Better to break them of it now, regardless of the crying. GL ;)

We haven't transitioned yet, probably will sometime but I'm not worried about it. He's waking up at night again for whatever reason and its easier for me to just roll over pat him, put in a bink and go back to sleep than get up and walk to his room (where DH would wake him up when he gets up at 3:30am anyways because of how our house is setup right now). We cosleep sometimes too, we've been sick for 2 months running and I'm too tired to hover over the crib just to have him wake up when I move so we all get more rest this way.

My daughter is almost 11 months and goes back and forth between cosleeping nand not. I always put her in her crib at first but when she is teething she gets really cranky and has a hard time sleeping so I let her sleep in the bed with us if she wakes up. Right now she would like to just sleep with us all night but I know it will be harder to break the longer the she sleeps in the bed with us. A lot of times she cries a little whenever I put her down but I sit beside the bed and sing or talk to her and pat her back until she goes to sleep, she usually quits crying if she knows I'm right beside her. Oh, I have to crawl out of the room every night because for some reason she ALWAYS wakes up if I stand, which is probably a funny sight...
