VABride2008:I basically just stayed home for three days and worked with her on it. I didn't read the book or anything but I had heard you needed to give it a solid three days before giving up. By the third day she was potty trained. Lots of accidents the first day and I just calmly told her we go peepee in the potty. I did not put a diaper on her during nap or at all during those three days with the exception of bed time. She has been PT since 22 months but she still wets at night. She sleeps 1214 hours at night so I don't expect her to go that long at night. We gave lots of positive reinforcement and treats for going on the potty. She usually got one puff or gummy bear for pee and two for poop.
This was us too. We did leave her naked some in the couple of weeks before, just to get her used to not having on a diaper, but we spent three days at home just going to the potty and celebrating no accidents.
