I am STILL pregnant - I can not believe it. Having had increasingly earlier babies for the last 3, I never dreamed I'd get much past the first of Dec, let alone this close to Christmas. DH just started a new job last week & the job site is nearly 2hrs away - my last labor was just 2 hrs start to finish, so maybe I'm ok waiting until the end of the week so that he won't miss it.
Honestly, my two favorite things for this baby are 2nd hand. One, is a navy blue wool-felt covered Euro-style bassinet that I picked up at Goodwill back in the early part of the summer for only $5. The other is a small vintage postage-stamp multi-colored quilt with a pale yellow flannel backing. It has lived at my mom's house, and all my other babies have used it when we've gone to visit her. When we were there the last time, I told her how much I have always loved it, and she told me to take it home!
I've made his quilt in oranges, greens, browns & blues to coordinate with his brothers' quilts; a couple of the cute little neck-tie onesies; several gauze swaddle blankets; recovered our Boppy in bright colors, etc. But, yep, the second-hand stuff is my favorite this time.
