Crash and burn

My boss taught my class today. She is always going on and on about how I could do better and be a better teacher. Man, she crashed and burned. Couldn't handle my behavior problem child, messed up the plans, and had a hard time with general control. I shouldn't be happy but I'm smiling right now!

If you're going to supervise someone, you need to be willing and able to do that person's job IMO.  Sounds like she's not able.

Maybe she'll take it easier on you in the future.

She did say, "It was bad, huh?" I didn't have the cajones to say yes. I just said, "Not so bad for your first try, I guess." The thing is the lesson was completely scripted. Read and go, lady. And, I've spent an hour telling her what to do!

What?!?!  Is that the norm?  That seems insane, how can you be the principal of an elementary school without ever teaching elementary students?

My SIL was aMS teacher and then an elementary school principal.  You have to have your MS in administration...

Now, maybe she'll let you do your job...the right way.  I can understand giving your emplyees the tools and opportunities to do their job better, but trying to show them up is rude, and apparently backfired.  Hope she realizes how ridiculous she made herself look.
