when do you stop cooking fruits and vegetables?

When do you stop cooking fruits and vegetables??My Lo seems to be moving g away from spoon feeding and purees, and I'm just wondering if I need to cook all of the.fruits and veggies for her to have as finger foods? Obviously some are too hard to chew, but some I think would be OK. Mashed apple for example..

My LO is a little over 9 months and our pediatrician just told us to move away from pureed foods all together and get him eating all finger foods. I figure if it's soft enough for him to mash with his gums then it's safe to eat. (my LO only has 2 teeth right now). I'm still going to cook his fruits a little though to make them soft.

I only cook the ones that are just too hard like carrot, or the ones you'd ordinarily cook like broccoli and potato.

But things like tomato, cucumber, and soft fruits like apricot, peach, banana, melon LO has been eating raw for a couple of months.

We give DS uncooked fruits all the time. Here is a list:
Cantaloupe
Honeydew
Grapes cut
Bananna
Peaches

I steam vegies like peas, carrots, corn and green beans. Not sure how you feel about canned veggies, but i found a low sodium brand and i just cook those and cut them up a little. They make great finger food because they are so soft.

Also, cheese cubes and rotini pasta cut in half.

DD gets her fruit un-cooked all the time. I don't mash the apple.... i just cut them thin and hand it to her.  same with everything else.. i don't mash.

(she does still eat purees - it's not like we are BLW - just to clarify)
