I think announcing you acts of kindness takes away from the experience. Do good because it is the way to act.

I am proud of the way that Obama has responded to the events of last Friday.  The two times he has spoken publicly, I thought he did a wonderful job of speaking as both a father and a president.  I didn't vote for him, but I can't imagine Romney coming across as well as Obama has so far.

Similarly to CountingUp's, stating something on FB for everyone to see does not make it more sincere. SIL texted me on C's birthday, but never said happy birthday and I was a bit annoyed. Later on FB, she posts a big mushy status about it being her nephew's birthday. Major eye roll... I would have much rather had a simple happy birthday text to me, because who else cares that it is her nephew's birthday? And of course then I had to "like" her status or I would be seen as the b!tch.

my UO might not be a UO here, but in my family it is...I plan on BFing E as long as she still wants to nurse and I am able to produce bm. So yes mom and KIA sisters this probably means I will still be BFing when I see you in February. Deal with it.

I will keep breastfeeding until A is two if I am still producing a decent amount. My grandmother thought I should be stopping at 9 months.

OMG February? That is so wrong, E will be like 14 months which everyone knows is way too old for BFing. Oh wait... I will also still be BFing in February.... :] My plan right now is to continue through cold and flu season then reevaluate.
My sister is on her way here right now actually and I plan on bugging her about the fact that C is 1 now and I am still BFing. She is in the stop at 1 year camp, but she doesn't have kids yet. And I 100 percent see her changing her mind when she does.

E is still interested in nursing even though we introduced the water at around 7 months (I think) and the WCM this past month.

I am going to let her decide, she has already dropped feedings anyway and loves her solids...

This is more of a confession or horn tooting but I really enjoy that i still have as much milk as ever. It's only a couple ounces/feed max but I'm still producing and A is still enjoying. I wake up so full after no night feeds...I am so thankful that I breastfed faithfully throughout the supplementing months. We were never exclusive but now that formula is no longer needed I'm going to breastfeed to the discomfort of my family!

C had his 1 year appt today with the public health nurse and she was so thrilled that I was still BFing. It was nice for someone to say good job. :]
