Does anyone have a good, easy cinnamon roll recipe?

I've been really craving these lately.  I feel bad making them since Maddie can't have them, but oh well.

Anyone?

Go to grocery store, find bakery section. Or find refrigerated section and drive home and pop open a can. Lol, I'm soo jealous of homemade cinnamon rolls!

That is usually exactly how I make cinnamon rolls!!  ;)  They aren't fantastic though so if I am going to waste calories on them I want them to be worth it.  lol

This is what I was going to say! I actually have never had homemade ones so I don't know any different.

If I can ever figure out how to recreate my grandmother's, I would say yes. But, she didn't use real measurements, and her oven was obviously broken, because who bakes ANYTHING at 525 degrees?

I've never made them, but I've heard good things about the Pioneer Woman's recipe.  It doesn't look too hard, but it makes a HUGE amount--like 40-50 rolls---so you may want to cut that recipe in half :)

Also, here's the recipe my mom makes for Christmas morning:

1/4 oz. pkg active dry yeast

1 c. warm milk (105-110 degrees)

1/2 c. granulated sugar

1/3 c. margarine, melted

1 t. salt

2 eggs

4 c. flour

Filling:

1 c. packed brown sugar

2 1/2 T. cinnamon

1/2 c. margarine, softened

Icing:

8 T. margarine, softened

1 1/2 c. powdered sugar

1/4 c. cream cheese

1/2 t. vanilla extract

1/8 t. salt

Dissolve yeast in the warm milk.  Add sugar, margarine, salt and eggs.  Add flour and mix well.  Knead dough into a large bowl with your hands dusted lightly with flour.  put in a bowl,. cover and let rise in a warm place about 1 hour or until the dough has doubled in size.  Roll out the dough on a floured surface.  Roll the dough flat until it is about 21 inches long and 16 inches wide.  (about 1/4 inch thick)

Combine brown sugar and cinnamon in a bowl.  Spread the softened margarine over the surface of the dough and then sprinkle the cinnamon and sugar evenly over the surface.  Working from the top (a 21-inch side), roll the dough down to the bottom edge.  Cut the rolled dough into a 1 3/4 inch slices and place 6 at a time, evenly spaced in a lightly greased baking pan.  Let the rolls rise again until double in size (about 30 minutes).  Bake at 400 degrees for 10-15 minutes or until light brown on top.

While the rolls bake, combine the icing ingredients.  Beat well with an electric mixer until fluffy.  When the rolls come out of the oven, coat each generously with icing.  Makes 12 rolls.

Hm, maybe I'll try that!!  That definitely sounds like my definiton of easy.  I really want to try the Pioneer Woman recipe one day, but it would probably be better to wait until Maddie can a-help, b-have cinnamon, and c-have dairy.
