Latest ultrasound o_O

So I had my latest ultrasound to see babies position, the good news is that she is not breech, the okay news is that she is in an oblique position but the head is angled down. So it looks like she'll be fine come birthing time.

The news that almost made me cry was when the ultrasound tech estimated my baby girls weight to be 7lbs, already.... I do realize that they can be off by a couple of pounds but I feel like I was destined to have a big baby anyways. My family is so tall, and my sister had big babies, my mom had big babies.... My sweet husband told me over the phone afterwards that he would be there to hold my hand during the whole thing lol. Well at least I'll feel more prepared for if she does come out huge!

It was also really cool to see the baby moving on the screen today, she's so big now, and it was so adorable to see her chubby cheeks and to actually watch her kick me and feel it, that was cool.

Congrats on a great ultrasound! I wouldn't worry too much about size. Everyone thought my LO would be big too, us tech, OB, family history. But she was barely over 7 lbs. and is still petite. It's just impossible to judge. And if she really is that big, you will still do just fine! Glad to hear all was ok though.

This is me - I haven't had one estimate. All I care is that everything is accounted for and they tell me that is the case :) I will let it be a surprise!

Dont get too discouraged dear- she could have just hit a growth spurt...

My dr was making me nervous with lots of talk and monitoring for a big baby.. and now shes not so concerned as he seems to have leveled off a bit- he might have just hit a growth spurt.

Hes in the 70th percentile for weight- but thats SUCH an estimate its ridiculous...

Good luck love

My neice was estimated to be almost 9 and came out 7 lb 10 oz.  Fx she's just a tad smaller than the estimates.  And yay for not breech!

Glad to hear that she's no longer breech! I know your concern about the baby being big... I know it was too early to really worry about it, but at our a/s that was right before 19wks they were already estimating LO at 11oz. Being the silly woman that I am, I started researching averages and he was above all the ones I found. Makes me a bit nervous because I want to be able to deliver vaginally... but if he keeps going the way he is they may make a C-section mandatory. Either way, I know I'll be happy, it's just a matter of preference right now.

Thanks ladies. I'm really hoping they are wrong on the size, but in case they aren't, at least I'm prepared.

Also it would be really nice if she just had a growth spurt and doesn't grow a whole lot more now!! Cross your fingers for me ladies!! :)
