I saw this post last week but never got around to responding on my phone! Yes, I just read this and I thought most of it seemed pretty logical. I laughed when it was talking about american parents and our over vigilance in everything. I'm totally like that, and I hope when baby girl shows up I can remember to let her grow and learn on her own, and realize her natural rhythms, and know that being relaxed and attentive will help make things work out. Easier said than done, i'm sure.
I also just started "simplicity parenting" which is more geared towards older kids, but is a philosophy I'd like to strive to follow...It talks about de-cluttering all of the toys, slowing down on weekends, making predictable routines and limiting media exposure for kids.
