*Siggy Warning - DS* Questions about naturally miscarrying.

*Siggy and TMI warning*

Hi ladies. First I'd like to say I'm sorry for everyone who is going through or has experienced a loss. This is my second time around and no one should have to go through anything like this - ever.

The first time I miscarried it was a missed miscarriage, so I opted for the D&C since my body did nothing for two weeks. With the D&C, I bled heavily and cramped for about a week and passed clots through out, but since I knew everything was already out of me, I didn't keep track of how many clots that passed.

This time around I had some spotting and bleeding and got a confirmation ultrasound to tell me what I already knew. My body already decided to start the process, so I opted to go naturally this time. Since Monday I've noticed all week my bleeding and cramping has gotten worse, then tonight I had some cramping that I'd compare to early contractions during labor. I passed a large clot around 1am. The cramping has subsided and so has the bleeding. I'm trying to not be naive and think this is over, but how much more can I expect? I know everyone is different, but should I expect similar cramping and more large clots? Or after the first large clot, should it not be as bad? I guess I'm just looking for others who have done this so I can compare and just know what to expect. Thanks ladies.

I am sorry you are going through this again. You're right no one should ever go through this and definitely not twice. I m/c naturally. I had heavy bleeding and bad cramping and passing clots/tissue for 3 to 4 days. Then it lessened dramatically and stopped 3 to 4 days later. Hope that helps. This is a supportive and informative place.

Sorry for your loss and you are right no one should ever have to go through this. I also miscarried naturally, I bled for a total of 7 days ( if my memory serves me right). Four of those were extremely heavy with clots/tissue and painful. I was 4-5 weeks along.
