How much Charlie's Soap to use?

We just started CDing DS1 and only have 6 Alvas in rotation right now.  With a top-load washer, how much Charlie's Soap do I use?  I typically will wash 4-5 diapers at night while he sleeps in one.  I've been following the 1 Tbsp that it says on the back, but I feel like it's too much for so few diapers.

I would think its more dependent on the amount of water than the number of diapers, but I'm not sure.

Since I'm only washing 4 or 5 diapers, I use the small load setting.  I am new to this, but I figured that setting was okay since the water was covering the diapers.

Your best bet may be to call the company or check their website. I wound up using too much Charlie's which caused a detergent build-up, and DS started getting blisters.

Just a tidbit Ive read that you should pick the next highest water level. If it's a small load, use med. Med load, use large. Also, diapers need other diapers to rub against in order to get clean. If you're only washing that many dipes you should add clothes or towels to make it a larger load. Just add them after the pre rinse.
