Follistim pen Question

DH just gave me my first dose of Follistim and Menopur.  Both burned, but it wasn't too bad.

 The Follistim Pen still has medicine in it.  Do I store the pen in the fridge?

Yes, did they teach you how to use what's left in the pen before starting with a new vial?
2nd ectopic resulted in loss of tube. HSG revealed remaining tube is "severely torqued".
IVF #1: ER 03/29/10; ET 04/01/10: transferred 2 embies; Beta #1 (9dp3dt)- 45; Beta #2 (11dp3dt)- 91= BFP
FET#1: ET 04/18/12: transferred 4 embies; Beta #1: >2 = BFN
IVF #2: ER 06/20/12; ET 6/25/12: transferred 2 embies; Beta #1 on 7/5/12= BFN
8/16: hysteroscopy for polyp removal
11/11: hysteroscopy #2 for yet another polyp removal
FET#2: ET 12/15/12: transferred 3 embies; Beta #1 (9dp5dt): 12/24/12: 426; Beta #2 (11dp5dt): 845= BFP
u/s 1/9= triplets!; miscarried all three on 1/10/13

My instructions said I could keep it at room temp after the intial use. Its my understanding the medication is only good for about 28 days after the first use regardless if you refridgerate. So, if you prefer injecting room temp meds, I'd check with your dr or pharmacy to make sure.

I was told I could either put the whole pen with the med vial still in it in the fridge, or take the med vial out and put that back in the fridge. I did the later. It's so easy to load, I didn't mind doing it every day.

May- Femara 5mg = CX - No Response on Left = BFN

Scar Tissue Removed, Left Tube Partially Open
September- Femara 5mg = CX - No Response on Left = BFN
October- 100mg Clomid + Trigger + TI = BFN
IVF # 1: Stims 11/30 ER 12/12/12! (10R, 8F, 2 Transferred, 6 Frosties!)

I stored all of it at room temp. I needed all four cartridges of it and had to reorder more. The only things I kept in the fridge were Lupron and Ovidrel.

Me: 28; DH: 35 1/2008 -- Started TTC
3/2009 -- FD discovered at 17 weeks
1/2011 -- Lap and HSG reveal Stage IV Endo and both tubes blocked.
4/2012 -- Consult with RE for IVF#1 -- All bloodwork and SA are normal -- Repeat HSG - SURPRISE! Both tubes are open.
May, June, August 2012 -- IUI#1-3 -- Letrozole + Bravelle + Ovidrel trigger = BFN
9/2012 -- Lap#2 to remove endo and Hysteroscopy

IVF#1 (Long Lupron) -- 12/6 ER - 20R 11F * 12/11 ET - Transferred 2 excellent blasts *
Beta #1 79.7 * Beta #2 240 * It's a GIRL!!

 Yes.  Right now my dosage is at 300 a night and I have 600 and 900 size cartridges.  It's all nice even multiples, so it should be fairly easy between dosages.

My dose was also 300 a night but I had the 300 cartridges. I always had at least 75 left over in the cartridges after each dose. REs office gave me a heads up about this saying that it's normal, not to freak out, and it's a bonus. Have read this for others as well!

I was told to refrigerate the cartridge. They always overfill them by 75. My nurse told me to keep all the "used" cartridges in the fridge because if I need more I can take the extra 75 out and use it instead of ordering more.

TTC #1 for Dh, #2 for me. HSG clear. Low AMH and endo. Multiple Clomid w/TI cycles - all BFNs. 2 IUIs with Clomid and 1 with Femara - more BFNs. IVF#1 25R, 15M, 15F. 5DT of two perfect 4AA blasts! Positive HPT at 5dp5dt. Beta #1 6dp5dt - 72. Beta #2 8dp5dt - 285. Beta #3 10dp5dt - 793. Both babies have strong beautiful heartbeats! Baby B miscarried at 7 weeks. Baby A is holding on through miscarrying her twin, sub-chorionic hematoma, and complete placenta previa. Stick, baby, stick!
