Joellen, I am so sorry you are going through this, and I am even sorrier that you are doing your D & C on Christmas Eve. I had mine on Friday and while the procedure was very easy and painless, I do not think I could have done much that afternoon if I had to. I agree with the previous poster, make sure that you get some percocet, even if you don't end up using it.
I spent many years as a church cantor and I can only assume that is what you are doing on Christmas Eve. I don't want to discourage you from your plan, but I think you should prepare your church organist that you may not be able to do all three services.
I have been having a difficult time grieving this weekend, but I am absolutely positive that I would not have been able to sing at mass this weekend without becoming emotional at some point.
I wish you the best in your singing, but you deserve time to reflect and take some time for yourself on such a difficult day if you need to.
I hope this doesn't sound too bossy, it's just that your post really struck a chord with me. Once again, I am so sorry you are going through this.
