Sydney Marie has arrived

Went into labor Friday night, 12.21, contractions were somewhat irregular but I was still progressing. After I got an epidural, the contractions all but stopped so they broke my water and when that didn't jump start them, I was given pitocin. The pit helped me go from 7 1/2 to complete in little over an hour. Started pushing and just 10 minutes later, my sweet girl came into the world. My first words were "she looks just like Samson!" Followed by "she's so tiny!!"

She was born at 7:35 AM 12.22.12 weighing 6lbs 14oz, and 18 1/2 inches long. Almost a pound lighter and 2 full inches shorter than DS.

It was a fairly different experience than with DS, I was induced with him, and I was in labor for only 7 hours before I started pushing. I pushed for an hour and a half with him and tore in 3 places. This was 11 1/2 hours before pushing and then just 10 minutes, without any tearing. Recovery has been SO much easier this time, much rather take the longer labor and shorter pushing.

We are in love and are so glad she's in our arms.
