5 month sleep regression

My lo was sleeping only ok but has become hungry at night more and waking over and over until I feed her. I was feeding her 1 to 2 times and now she seems to wake every 2 hours which we did go through as 4 month wakeful approached when she was just three and a half months... Could this be the 6 month growth spurt or am I now going to need to apply some sleep training? I also notice an increase in my milk as if my body knows she needs more milk and I've lost 5 lbs suddenly. I know, it sounds nice, but I'm wondering if anyone has a similar experience. We have not yet started solids.
I'm ok with her waking but fear I'm creating a monster tending to her so much at night even though I don't constantly feed her, due to her history or sleeping fairly well, I'm to her pretty quick and I don't know if I should just leave her if I know she is not in need of anything but to be held,,, by me.
. Thanks!

If she's hungry, feed her. It may be a growth spurt. Babies don't go by calendars, so she doesn't know she's not 6 months old yet. Lol.

I wasn't really assuming she knew she was nearing six months,, I just wondered if others lo had their growth spurts a bit early,,, the whole "are you actually hungry or are you just trying to get me to hold you" stage is what's confusing me... I feel like I hear alot about 6 month growth spurts and my first really didn't have sleep signs I'd associate with growth spurts unless he was learning to crawl or something...
I def do feed her as needed but it's just been nursing on demand so I really can't say how much and I'm literally feeling drained. Haaaaaa!

I'm sure by now, you could probably tell when she's truly hungry or just comfort nursing. If you try to get her back to sleep by other ways besides just nursing, and she doesn't, she's probably hungry.

You are not creating a monster by tending to your child. Whatever those needs may be, I'm sure they're legitimate to her.
