BFN WWYD?

So AF showed her ugly face today and it got me thinking. After having DS I needed to switch to a different OBGYN who happens to be an RE as well, so for the last few months Ive been following his protocal in TTC number two which is far less agressive than my previous RE (femara and TI). I have a history of anovulation. With DS I did clomid, injects, trigger and IUI. The RE Im with doesnt do injects and Im not sure why. Do you think I should stay with the current RE and ask him to be more agressive with my treatments?  Or should I go back to my previous RE that got me KU?  I should mention that my previous RE has been rated as one of the best in the state.

Personally, I'd probably go back to the previous RE. He knows your history and what has worked for you before. If you are in love with the new one, it can't hurt to ask. But I'm one of those people that hate change and would be more comfortable with the RE who was successful before. Either way, I'm so sorry for your BFN and I wish you lots of luck on your next cycle.

IUI#2 Femara/Ovidrel (cd 5-9) = BFN
IUI#3 Femara/Ovidrel (cd 3-7) = BFP!
beta #1 11/23 = 270, P4 = 75
beta #2 11/28 = 2055
Our daughter E was born 7/29/2012!

I would tot stay with an RE who does not do injects. I would either go back to your old RE or find a new RE. I hope you get your BFP very soon hon!

Unexplained Infertility
After two Clomid cycles, three injectable IUI cycles, two IVFs, two miscarriages, and one lap surgery, IVF #2 has brought us our little boy!

TTC #2
3/12 - CD3 labs show elevated estrogen levels. FET cycle on hold until cycles can be regulated.
5/12 - CD3 labs finally show normal estrogen, slightly elevated FSH. Currently on BCP and Lupron for FET #1. Transfer scheduled for June!
6/12 - FET #1 - Cancelled due to sucky lining
7/12 - FET #1.2 - Cancelled again
8/12 - Forced Break
9/12 - Natural FET #1.3 - BFP! Beta #1 (15dp3dt) - 1663 Beta #2 (17dp3dt) - 3500 - First u/s at 6 weeks showed twins! Please stick, little ones! U/S at 19 weeks shows it's two girls!!!

I would definitely go back to your other RE if youre ready to be more aggressive. 

 

Do you know why the current RE wont do injects?

I am very sorry about BFN.  I wouldn't stay with any RE that doesn't do injects.  That is a very limiting move and says something about their ability to treat patients IMO.   I'd go back to the one that got you DS.

I would go back to the previous RE, especially since you had success with him.

I'm so sorry about your bfn.

Injects is how I got dd, so when it's time for the re I'll go straight to injects again. I would go back to your previous re as well. Good luck!

I would personally go back to the RE that got me KU.  GL to you.

7.19.11 BFP
7.30.11 LAP due to Ectopic
8.16.11 Not whole PG taken out and had internal bleeding with 2 liters blood in abdomen. Went into shock and Cardiac Arrest. No pulse, No blood pressure. Left Tubal Ligation, 2 blood transfusions, and a plasma transfusion. Told not to try and conceive naturally, again.
11.2.11 FSH 23, AMH 0.52, diagnosed with DOR and MTHFR
12.7.11 ET (Transferred 2-8A's and froze 2-8A's, 2-8B's, and a 6B)
IVF #1 Failed
1.17.12 Right tubal ligation
4.9.12 FET. Transferred a 10A, 10B and a morula ( from a 3dt)
4.16.11 7dp3dt BFP!!!
4.23.12 Beta #1 is a whopping 1,275!!
4.30.12 First u/s and Beta #2: 12,299

I would go back to the other RE. I would want to be more aggressive and at least start where you left off last time, kwim?

Definately back to orig RE IMO, GL TTC I am right there with you :)  We did not have a good second experience with our original RE so we are seeking a second opinion but not after giving our RE a good chance first.
TTC on our own for many years finally moved on to IF treatment,diagnosis for me, ovaries with PCO appearance, hypothyroidism, DH MFI, IUI 1-3 BFN moved on to IVF, IVF #1 BFP! No frosties :( B/G twins born 10/12/11. IVF #2 August 2012, BFP ended in cp :( FET November, BFFN. IVF #3 at CC.RM Antagonist low stim protocol with CCS testing, ER 4/23/13, 21R, 18M, 14F. 8 day 5 & 2 day 6 blasts biopsied & frozen. CCS results 4 normals 5AA, 5AB, 5AB, 5BB, 2 no result 5BB, 4BB. FET scheduled 6/17/13 provided TSH & lining in check :) Lilypie Second Birthday tickers
